The theme of this years #NationalGriefAwarenessWeek is  ‘Shine a Light’, designed to raise greater awareness of the outstanding bereavement services up and down the country. As Men's Mental Health Awareness Month comes to a close, it's important that we don't stop talking and continue this conversation. The reality is that suicide doesn’t discriminate—it can touch the lives of anyone, anywhere, at any time. For every suicide, around 135 people are profoundly impacted, reaching deep into families, friendships, and entire communities. The ripple effects can be devastating and far-reaching. 💭 Myth: Suicide won’t affect me. 💜 Fact: Suicide doesn’t discriminate – it can affect anyone at any time. You are not alone, and there is always hope. Our men's support group provides an understanding space where you can openly share your feelings and experiences without judgment. This past Saturday, on International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day, Central Co-op's Bretby Crematorium hosted two heartfelt memorial services for Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide (SOBS). These services brought together individuals and families who have been bereaved by suicude. Through survivor stories, music, poetry and photo tributes, attendees shared moments of reflection, connection and healing. We are honoured to have provided a space where solidarity could flourish. Events like these remind us of the importance of community in navigating grief and the power of coming together to honor those we have lost.
