An incredibly rich conversation at last night's Sustainable Futures Live event on the future and evolution of DEI, alongside our partners FuturePlus & Maddyness UK. The conversation between Jamila Brown, Jonathan Hook FRSA, Fran Fish, and Mike Penrose, and hosted by Christina Lewis, sparked important reflections on how we, as businesses and leaders, can build more inclusive, equitable workplaces. Here are some of our key takeaways: 🗞️ While headlines suggest DEI initiatives are being rolled back, actually they're re-strategising to exist under new frameworks. 💬 DEI is a business imperative and leadership language to enable people to perform at their best. 🧠 We are emotional beings: feeling included and represented drives our emotional responses. Building emotional literacy is key to understanding individual needs. 🤝 We need to rethink what inclusion truly means, making sure that everyone genuinely feels that they have a seat at the table.
