We represent 22,500 holiday homes available across the UK and Ireland; from cosy cottages for two to larger properties sleeping 20 or more. Meet the Team: Georgia Hayes This week’s shoutout goes to Georgia Hayes, our Commercial Finance Analyst, aka the brains behind what we do, how we do it, and how we do it in the most efficient way for our owners and guests. She might be sat in the background number crunching and strategising, but trust me, she’s the one keeping us all on track, shaping our ideas, and making sure we don’t spend the bank balance before we’ve even made it. I don’t claim to be the best mathematician, so thank god we have Georgia. She’s got serious credentials. She smashed a First-Class Integrated Masters in Mathematics at the University of Liverpool (so when she says something doesn’t add up, we listen). She kicked off her career in project management and market analysis at Chester Racecourse before bringing her talents to Sykes Holiday Cottages, where she’s spent the last two and a half years making sense of all our wild ideas as a Commercial Finance Analyst, all while studying for her Accountancy qualification. But she’s not all spreadsheets and forecasts. Outside of work, Georgia swaps Excel for a shotgun, enjoying clay pigeon shooting in her spare time. She also plays netball and captains her team, proving she’s as good at leading people as she is at leading balance sheets. And when she’s not crunching numbers or dominating on the court, she’s busy turning her first house into a home. Apparently, she actually enjoys painting, which is a level of patience I’ll never understand. She’s not directly in my team, but she’s definitely part of it.
