In 2018, The Advantage Group was born a nonprofit organization aiming to provide opportunities for young people from minority ethnic and lower-income communities to develop their employability skills.
We went out into the community - into schools, colleges, youth clubs, universities, places of worship, homes to support young people in the ways they needed to be supported. On the way, we collaborated with the likes of Google, Facebook, Shell UK, and Nandos. We impacted more than 2000 diverse young people across the UK.
But something happened. We noticed that young people were tired of being talked at, and it became apparent that talking wasn’t enough to create transformative outcomes. Young people needed amplification, space, and resources.
So, it’s the year 2022 and we are reborn, this time as a youth culture agency that continues to transform the lives of young people by empowering them with knowledge of, but also with pride in their culture. While still prioritizing building employability, this is now achieved by engaging our young people in designing and developing meaningful projects too.
