We have two FREE courses available to residents of Midlothian beginning this month. Meet other people with lipoedema and share your experiences, while taking part in mindful activities. Choose between jewellery-making or watercolour painting or attend both! Both sessions require no previous experience of painting or making jewellery and the aim of the sessions is for you to enjoy the classes with no pressure or expectations. We are very grateful to Midlothian Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund for Adults for funding this course. The tickets are free of charge but you must have a Midlothian postcode and be available to attend both sessions of each course. Some Symptoms of Lipoedema: 💜Symmetrical fat accumulation: Usually affects both legs and sometimes arms but spares the hands and feet. 💜Pain and tenderness: Affected areas can be painful, even with light pressure. 💜Easy bruising: bruising can appear over the affected areas. 💜Diet-resistant fat: Weight loss efforts does not reduce lipoedema fat. 💜Cuffing can appear at the ankles or wrists: A clear distinction between affected and unaffected areas. It’s important to note that not every person with lipoedema will experience every symptom.
