😎 Shadowing? This is a new term I recently heard from Erika Urbina, Country Manager at Trellix in our latest Episode of hashtag #BeyondBorders. She mentioned that shadowing is a strategy often used by international companies when expanding into new regions. The idea is to send someone from your current team to the target country to immerse themselves in the local business culture, helping adapt the company's business model accordingly. 👀 Curious to know - Has anyone in my network come across this approach before? What do you think?
In our next episode of #BeyondBorders, we asked Luiz Lima, Sales Director of LATAM at Pixis, the question Melissa T. asked: "If you had to choose one country to start your GTM strategy in LATAM, which one would you pick and why?" Luiz chose 🇧🇷 —do you agree, or do you think his Brazilian roots influenced his answer? Share your thoughts in our poll, and stay tuned for the next episode coming out next week!

The moment you've been waiting for is finally here—Episode 2 of "Beyond Borders" is out, and you can watch it right now! https://lnkd.in/gHkDR-Gu In this episode, we sit down with Melissa T., a true LATAM expert who has helped powerhouses expand successfully in Latin America. We asked some juicy questions this time, and I’m confident you’ll not only enjoy the discussion but also gain some valuable insights. Here are my top 3 takeaways: ❌ Avoid the North American Approach in LATAM: Companies often stumble when they expect their LATAM teams to replicate North American strategies and achieve the same revenue with minimal investment. 🕶 Embrace the Latino Culture: Success in LATAM requires understanding the nuances of the culture—from negotiating informally (think WhatsApp deals and in-person meetings) to recognizing the region's less aggressive sales tactics and learning that "No" isn't always a straightforward answer. 🔥 A Region Brimming with Opportunity: Latin America boasts immense potential, highlighted by its vast size, burgeoning startup scene, and the rising number of unicorns emerging daily. What are your thoughts ❓ ❓ ❓ Also, this time we had her share a question for our next guest—make sure to watch until the end to find out what it is! #latinamerica #gtm #marketexpansion #strategy #taltics #beyondborders

Expanding into new markets is no easy task. Beyond profitability, there are many aspects you need to understand and adapt to. LATAM is a prime example of a region with a distinct culture that heavily influences how business is done. You can't apply the strategies that work in Europe or the USA to this market because they simply won't work. That's why I'm excited to share the project from my friend Talji Aziz, who, after leading Mixpanel's expansion in this region, saw a significant business opportunity and founded TALTICS. Her goal is to help companies enter Latin America, covering everything from market fit, culture, and pricing to how and where to sell. If your company is interested in this market, I encourage you to reach out and learn about this project, which will help you strategically overcome many entry barriers. I know from experience just how well she understands how Latinos do business😁 💸 !

It´s been already 1 month since I officially launched my own company, TALTICS. 😍 - Here´s my learnings It is incredible how much can happen in one month and how much I've learnt in the past weeks so, I want to share my key 6 learnings in case someone out there is looking to start their own company. Hopefully, this will help as inspiration 😎 ➡ Your value proposition will change every day. If I reflect on the value proposition I defined the first weeks of TALTICS and compare it to the one it has now, I can tell it's very (VERY) different. Why? - Simply because the more you talk to prospects, the more you realize that the needs you thought were critical, are not as important as other market demands. This has taught me to be flexible and CREATIVE. ❇ It's all about connecting with the right people. The amount of people I've spoken with in the last few weeks has been ENORMOUS. From people doing something similar, to people doing something that compliments my services. I've had many conversations that have led my business to grow and for me to get new ideas. 🆘 Put yourself out there. You've probably seen that I recently launched a Webinar series “Beyond Borders”. For those of you who know me - I'm terrified of public speaking, however, I'm aware that if I don't put myself out there, I'll never be able to sell my services and spread the "TALTICS" word. (BTW, I'm starting to enjoy public speaking). 🔵 Be patient: Starting your own company WON´T BE EASY! You will hit a thousand walls, there will be times when you think you've made it and, all of a sudden, you realize you haven't. There will be times when you question what you are doing and times you think you should quit. However, being patient (smartly patient) is important as these things take time and you can't build a brand in one day. 😎 Have fun: This has been, by far, the most fun work experience I've ever had. Even if sometimes it's nerve-wracking, building your own company means that you can define the culture of your business and, for me, FUN is a key element to work (and to life) .. so, no matter how tough things are, make sure you are still having some fun 🤠 Celebrate the small wins: This is KEY because if you don't celebrate the small wins, especially at the start when you will probably not see an immediate ROI, then you'll give up quickly. From registering your company to creating a website (by the way, I just updated my website so go have a look and share your thoughts taltics.co ), to sending your first proposal, to signing your first customer - every little win counts and it's worth a celebration. I could go on, but one (another) thing I've learned is that people's attention spans are short, so it's best to keep things brief— A challenge for someone like me who loves to ramble 😂 . Hope this is useful for anyone trying to become an entrepreneur. I would love to hear if anyone else has more learnings to share.

The first episode of “Beyond Borders” is out now. Check it out: https://lnkd.in/gtH8GEua Here are some key takeaways for me: ✅ Product adoption is as important as product quality. Make sure to educate your audience on what your product solves and how to use it properly. ✅ Having local customer support is crucial in Latin America. Latinos prefer speaking with fellow Latinos, even if you have the best CS team based elsewhere. ✅ Before entering a new market, conduct thorough research to ensure there is a good product-market fit. What were your key takeaways? 👀 Let us know your thoughts and stay tuned for our next episode, coming soon. 😝 Next week we are releasing the first episode of our webinar series, "Beyond Borders," featuring an interview with Mariano Barisch, the Managing Director of Storyly Latin America Here´s a sneak peek of the fascinating discussions we had on how to achieve success in Latin America. One of Mariano's key messages was: "Be flexible." He emphasized that international companies need to reconsider their approach if they think they can succeed in Latin America using the same strategies as in other regions. ❓ What do you think is essential for ensuring a successful entry into the region? (would love to hear your comments) Don't forget to watch the full episode, coming live next week.
