Congratulations to Dr. Lea Pare Toe from Institut de Recherche en Sciences de la Santé (Burkina Faso) and #TargetMalariaBurkinaFaso on her recent recognition as a “Chevalier de l'Ordre des Palmes Académiques” in Burkina Faso, rewarding her work as a socio-anthropologist and her leadership in malaria research. The Ordre des Palmes Académiques is a national order bestowed by the Burkinabè government to distinguished academics and teachers for their valuable service to universities, education and science. Dr Paré is an advocate for the inclusion of more women in science through mentoring, public engagement and association with prominent bodies in the field of malaria research. Her dedication, have won her awards, including a Runner Up prize at PAMCA Pan-African Mosquito Control Association’s PAMCA - Women in Vector Control Excellence Awards in 2022. #womeninscience #malariaresearch #scienceinaction #endmalaria
