Taye Training
Professional Training and Coaching
No more boring, uninspiring training. We create personalised training that empowers frontline professionals.
About us
Taye Training was founded by best friends Tammy Banks and Faye Fox while they were working in criminal justice and the charity sector. They started the company because they couldn’t find training that was high-quality, values-led, and relatable to the services they were involved in. Taye Training became the foundation for "Transform your Training" and the birthplace of the Training 4 Influence methodology. At Taye Training, we specialise in creating personalised training experiences that truly make a difference. We focus on empowering professionals working on the front lines in sectors like health, social care, and education. Our courses are designed to be more than just informative; they’re crafted to inspire and equip you with the practical skills you need to excel in your role. What makes us stand out is our unique “Training 4 Influence” approach. We don’t just teach; we transform. Our courses are engaging, interactive, and tailored to address the specific challenges you face in your work. This methodology ensures that what you learn with us isn’t just theoretical – it’s directly applicable to your day-to-day responsibilities, making a lasting impact on your professional development. Our methodology and services continue to receive excellent feedback thanks to the ongoing partnership between Taye Training and the Training 4 Influence methodology. The methodology is our quality standard and ensures all Taye services are values-led, expert-driven, engaging, and tailored.

Let's Learn - Self Care at Christmas ✨🎄 Christmas can be a magical time, but it can also bring stress, pressure, or feelings that don’t match the season’s cheer. Remember, your wellbeing matters. Here are some ways to take care of yourself this holiday season: 💚 Be gentle with yourself. It’s okay if you’re not feeling 100%. Think about what’s best for your wellbeing and give yourself permission to prioritise it. ⏳ Set boundaries around Christmas. The season doesn’t have to take over. Consider setting a personal start and finish time for “Christmas” to make it feel more manageable. 🚦 Say no when you need to. It’s okay to turn down activities or traditions that don’t feel helpful or right for you. Protect your energy and peace. 🌈 Honour your feelings. You don’t have to feel festive if you don’t want to. Every emotion is valid, even if it doesn’t match what’s happening around you. 🛋️ Take a time-out. Escape the Christmas buzz with a summer-set film, an engaging book, or by picking up a new skill. A little distraction can go a long way. 🤗 Give yourself what you need. Whether it’s quiet time, a break from socialising, or a calming activity, listen to yourself and honour what you need to feel balanced. This Christmas, let’s remember: self-care isn’t selfish – it’s essential. Take time to nurture yourself, and know that it’s perfectly okay to create a festive season that works for you. 🎁✨ #SelfCareAtChristmas #WellbeingMatters #FestiveBalance #TransformYourTraining

🌍 Let's Learn: The Power and Control Wheel ⚠️ Content Warning – Domestic Abuse 💡 Why was the Power and Control Wheel created? In 1984, the Domestic Abuse Intervention Project (DAIP) developed the Power and Control Wheel to shed light on the experiences of those impacted by domestic abuse. By gathering stories from survivors, they identified the most common abusive behaviours and visualised these in a way that could be understood by victims, offenders, practitioners, and the public. The wheel highlights the subtle, ongoing tactics of control (the inner ring) and the physical or sexual violence that reinforces these behaviours (the outer ring). 💡 How does this help us? The wheel illustrates how abusive behaviours are interconnected, helping professionals and survivors recognise patterns of abuse, identify less visible forms of control and understand the impact on victims and children. 💡 When can it be used? The Power and Control Wheel is a powerful tool in supporting survivors: 🔸Beginning: To identify the tactics used by the abuser 🔸During: To explore the ongoing effects on victims and their families 🔸 After: To reflect on the survivor’s progress and growth Want to learn more? ✨Friday Feedback ✨ Earlier this week we had the privilege of delivering Operational Skills and Case Recording to the fantastic team at Hestia 💜 We were thrilled to see our delegates enjoyed the course and found the section on assertiveness important – a key part of professional boundaries! Assertive behaviour is a happy medium between passive and aggressive behaviour. In other words, assertiveness means standing up for your personal rights – expressing thoughts, feelings and beliefs in direct, honest and appropriate ways. Let’s Learn: Substance Use and Addiction 🌟 Substance use refers to the harmful consumption of substances like drugs or alcohol for non-medical purposes. While people often associate this term with illegal drugs, legal substances can also be misused. These include alcohol, prescription medications, caffeine, nicotine, and volatile substances such as petrol, glue, or paint. Substance use or misuse is defined as the ongoing use of any mind-altering substance in a way that severely impacts a person’s physical or mental health, social relationships, or responsibilities. What is Addiction? 💡 Addiction occurs when someone develops a physical and/or psychological need for a substance due to regular, continued use. Some substances are highly addictive, while others are less so. However, the signs and symptoms of addiction tend to be similar regardless of the substance. It’s important to understand that substance use and addiction are not solely about how much or how often someone uses a substance. The key factor is the impact it has on their life.
