Someday we all might be able to contribute to environmental research using the devices in our pockets. With satellite data from our phones or other devices, soon we will be able to monitor applications – from global and continental-level assessments to local neighborhoods, including our impact on the natural environment, such as climate change, biodiversity loss, air pollution, and plastic pollution. However, standards are essential in defining agreed formats and online processing interactions, allowing diverse stakeholders to discuss what is needed and test potential approaches. We are pleased to announce that Taylor & Francis eBooks are now accessible via GetFTR (Get Full Text Research). GetFTR streamlines the researcher journey by checking permissions, directly with the publisher, at the point of discovery and facilitates access directly to the article or book chapter the researcher wants to read. The GetFTR indicator on search results tells researchers which content their institution has made available to them and takes them directly to that research on participating publisher websites.
