To support the construction of the HS2 Colne Valley Viaduct in Buckinghamshire by Align JV, Taziker was contracted by VolkerStevin to fabricate and install a temporary jetty structure. Taziker was responsible for the supply, fabrication, transport and installation of the temporary jetty, which comprised of four separate structures with a total length of over 1km. This #TransformationTuesday, we're taking a look back at our project at Mytchett Steps in Surrey. Over a six month period in late 2022 Taziker, on behalf of Ringway, dismantled the existing timber staircase connecting Mytchett Road Place to the canal towpath and installed a brand new steel structure, including FRP treads and GRP balustrades in its place. 💫 Transforming Manvers Footbridge in Rotherham Manvers Way Footbridge is a cable-stayed steel bridge carrying a footpath across A633 Manvers Way, Wath-upon-Dearne. The overall span is 35m and the bridge deck is supported by eight high tensile steel cables, connected to an A-frame pylon. The footbridge connects a sports field and residential area to the country park on the north side. On behalf of Breheny Civil Engineering, Taziker were contracted to remove the existing paint system and provide a new paint system over the entire structure including the pylon, steel deck elements and metal parapets. This #ThrowbackThursday we're taking a look back at Taziker's major conservation project on the iconic Iron Bridge in Shropshire in 2018. Iron Bridge had suffered over the years and cracks were found in the structure. This was due to stresses in the ironwork dating from the original construction as well as ground movement in the area. An earthquake had also caused damage in the late 19th century.
