🎉 Another huge milestone reached for the Tech Talks podcast, with many more to come! Today the podcast reached (an official) 700 Episodes! 🤩 That's 9 years with over 850 guests from more than 20 countries, with 6000 listens a month! Although we have a small, but mighty, team here at Tech Talks, it does not go unnoticed the work of everyone that has made this podcast what it is today! 😁 👏🏼 A huge thank you to every guest we have had the fortune of speaking to, your insight into every area of the industry is what brings listeners from every corner of life and keeps us up-to-date with all the newest tech news! 🎬 In recent years the podcast has allowed us to expand our portfolio into video and documentary content which would not have been possible without the help and friendship of the guys at Sound & Colour Films! We've travelled (like today we are off to TechBBQ), filmed long days and had plenty of laughs and we can't wait for future projects... ☀ As you often see, Tech Talks is an international podcast! In recent years we can landed ourselves in Portugal, the USA, Brazil, Germany, and right now Denmark, and our attendance at events like Web Summit, Collision Conf, TechBBQ and UNLEASH, have allowed us to be 'An industry's voice'. Hearing from people from every culture, country and background: diversity is the key to everything we do! Last but not least, thank you to our co-hosts, Akeesh Khokhar, Cat Astier, and occasionally Samuel Bailey, who join us at the start of every episode to chat about whatever is going on that day, it's always a lot of fun! 😄 A huge thank you to everyone that has contributed to these first 700 episodes of Tech Talks, next stop 10 year Anniversary! 😊 Harvey Nash Crimson NashTech David Savage Sound & Colour Films Sonya Barlow Thomas J. 🙅🏼 "All of the research would say, don't spy on your child. We explore how parents and children can navigate online safety together, fostering open communication and mutual understanding. 💬 💡 What are your thoughts on creating a collaborative approach to online safety? Is it that bad? 🤔 🇦🇺 Australia has been the first country to pass the bill that will ban the use of social media for anyone under 16, which will make platforms including TikTok, Facebook, Snapchat, Reddit, X and Instagram liable for fines of up to 50 million Australian dollars for systemic failures to prevent young children from holding accounts. 😶 The questions are endless... 🤷🏽♂️ Has social media strayed too far from the 'social' intention? 🫤 Are we addicted, and has this intensified with our digitally native generation? 🌎 How would we even attempt to enforce national change now? We are all aware of the dangers of social media, as well as the dependancy that young people specifically have formed to it, but do the negatives outweigh the positives that much? 🤳🏽 👇🏽
