Driven by the vision of our Technical Department and championed by the Fleet Engineering Engine Management team, OPTIMA is more than just a tool—it's a game-changer. OPTIMA will serve as a comprehensive resource, offering unparalleled insights from contractual, technical, planning, and financial perspectives. But what does this mean for us? This comprehensive insight empowers us to make well-informed decisions and optimize engine performance and longevity maintenance. This initiative represents a significant step forward in enhancing operational excellence and supporting Etihad Airways' vision to remain at the forefront of aviation innovation. ✈️ Mid-Term Lease Audits: More Than Just Compliance Leasing an aircraft is a partnership between lessors and operators. But how do we ensure that partnership remains smooth throughout the lease? That’s where mid-term lease audits come into play—and right now, they’re more important than ever, especially with so many airlines extending leases on key fleet types like the A320. Mid-term audits aren’t just about checking off compliance boxes. They’re about safeguarding the condition of your aircraft, protecting asset value, and ensuring lease terms are properly interpreted and adhered to. But here’s the thing: understanding those lease contracts and redelivery terms isn’t always straightforward. They’re often intricate, nuanced, and open to interpretation. Many leasing companies rely on in-house teams for these audits, which makes sense—they know their assets well. But a third-party perspective brings unique advantages, such as: ✈️ Fresh Eyes: A specialist team can spot overlooked issues or risks that might not be immediately obvious to internal teams. ✈️ Impartiality: Third parties approach audits with a purely objective mindset, ensuring nothing is missed due to familiarity or internal priorities. ✈️ Depth of Experience: Having worked across countless leases, fleets, and operators, an independent team brings a breadth of insight that can be applied to your specific situation. The last thing you want is for mid-term audits to fall down the priority list. Lease extensions are happening across the board, and without regular checks, it’s easy for maintenance or compliance issues to creep in unnoticed. Audits now can prevent major surprises—and costs—when the lease ends. Our team has decades of experience interpreting lease terms, navigating redelivery conditions, and addressing challenges. While no one in aviation has seen it all, we’ve seen most—and we know how to collaborate to tackle risks early and keep everything on track. If mid-term audits aren’t on your radar yet, now might be the time to start the conversation. It’s about more than compliance—it’s about protecting your assets and your partnerships. For more info please get in touch with Charlie or email info@tgis.aero #aviation #midtermaudit #aircraftlease
