Changing lives and overcoming exclusion through language education

About us

The Bell Foundation works to overcome exclusion through language education by working with partners on innovation, research, training and practical interventions. Through generating and applying evidence, we aim to change practice, policy, public opinion and systems for children, adults and communities in the UK disadvantaged through language. Our work benefits two target groups: learners with English as an Additional Language (EAL) and offenders and ex-offenders for whom English is not their first language.
