The British Citizen Award medalists putting Unity back into Community: As we celebrate the 10th Anniversary of The People’s Honours, it is particularly gratifying to reflect on the multiple causes which benefit from the selfless endeavours of previously hidden heroes. By honouring these very special individuals, The British Citizen Award is recognising outstanding citizens who make a significant impact on their communities. Now, more than ever, we need to put the unity back into community, and BCA medalists personify this and have done so for the past 10 years. This unique recognition amplifies their good causes to create a virtuous circle.     Just two weeks ago we celebrated 27 individuals at the Palace of Westminster… 27 people, who between them were responsible for positively impacting no fewer than 886,840 other people’s lives, who between them were responsible for raising over £3.3m, and who between them have been committed to helping their communities for a staggering 482 years. Most of our sponsors and partners have been with us for multiple years, with Places for People, Specsavers, Big Bus London and Tigerbond being with us for the entire journey, for which they have our utmost gratitude. One Stop have been headline partner for six years and our most recent addition, DevWalk PR joined us earlier this year. We really could not do it without all of these very special relationships.
