Distillers of Craft Spirits

About us

At the British Honey Company we are primarily known for our premium and innovative range of Keepr's honey infused spirits. Spirits that are linked to our roots as beekeepers with a strong traceable hive to bottle story that has preserving the British honeybee at its heart. From our initial debut on the craft spirits scene in 2014, we have added several more brands to our portfolio including the exceptional Soil Association certified Dodd's Organic Gins, the creative flavours of Two Birds Spirits, a collection of English Heritage gins inspired by its gardens and landscapes and an affordable luxury range, 1606, sold both in the UK and exported overseas to Europe, the USA and China. As of 2023 BHC was acquired by Fusion Spirits Ltd and continues to add to its core range with new and diverse expressions of flavoured Gins, Vodkas and other Rums.

Updates

  • Last week we mentioned our discussions with The Independent regarding the authenticity of British Honey. We're delighted that Sam Trett our CEO was quoted in the article. A quarter of a century later, “counterfeit honey remains a significant issue within supply chains here in the UK and it is crucial that both retailers and authorities take stronger measures to protect consumers”, says Sam Trett from The British Honey Company. https://lnkd.in/emJbwUvJ

We were asked to provide a quote yesterday for The Independent on the back of the news that 90% of honey samples from the UK failed authenticity tests. At BHC we've always believed in sustainable, (and wherever possible) local, sourcing of the honey we use - whether incorporated into our spirits or sold directly to consumers in jars. It's important not only for the environment and British bee species for the local economy and for consumers - to ensure they are tasting and experiencing the best honey available. We look forward to hearing the outcome of further tests and encourage supporting your local beekeepers 🐝

  • Our website has recently been updated and we're both distilling old favourites and developing some new products ahead of Christmas. We're also stocking some new brands alongside our Keepr's and Two Birds bottles. If you're looking for corporate gifting we'd love to help and have a range of price points and bespoke options available. Do contact us for more information. 🐝 BHC
