The London Climate Technology Show opened its doors yesterday at Excel London, bringing together industry leaders, innovators, and experts to drive transformation in the tech sector. As the Official Charity Partner, we kicked things off with a workshop exploring why we need Carbon Literacy in the Digital & Tech sector. We were joined by the fantastic Auto Trader UK team, sponsors of the upcoming Digital & Tech Sector Carbon Literacy Toolkit. We hosted activities that sparked great engagement around: ✔️ How to decarbonise the sector ✔️ The co-benefits of climate action It was incredible to see so many organisations, from start-ups to large enterprises, connecting with the idea of embedding a low-carbon culture into their operations. It’s clear that while technology is vital in solving climate challenges, Carbon Literacy can empower the people behind the technology. We can’t believe it’s been a week since our biggest Action Day yet! So far, CLAD 2024 has proven to be a huge success in size and impact, and we’re grateful that so many organisations around the globe were a part of this collective achievement. 🌎 We are still on a buzz after our World Tour Webinar, which was a truly inspiring event where we were joined by a diverse guest speakers that took part in the Action Day. Our excitement still lives on as we anticipate the final number of learners trained during CLAD 2024, but for now, we leave you with the closing words of our Co-Founder & Director of Advocacy, Phil Korbel, who summed up the impact of the Action Day. 💭👇 “We know full well the challenge is huge, both in terms of the climate crisis and global political headwinds… Things have not gotten easier for us.
