Our apprentices worked so hard to achieve these grades and we are proud of them all. Another successful Masterclass with a lovely group of Level 2 Commis Chef apprentices. Great to see their smiles and how proud they were of their dishes with all of them not having prepped or cooked game before & most not having eaten. They even had the pleasure of receiving valuable feedback from their Group Exec Chef which is even more motivating for apprentices who have that positive employer engagement. We would like to congratulate our amazing Commis Chef apprentice Courtney who took part in the Delifresh Young Chef of the Year competition this week. Courtney started her apprenticeship just over a year ago, straight from school and has gone from strength to strength in both her confidence and skills development. As part of Chef Appreciation week, we would like to celebrate the success, hard work and determination of Chef Matthew Benson-Smith who continually strives to inspire others in their Chef journeys. We are delighted to announce that our amazing apprentice Josh is a finalist in the North Yorkshire Apprenticeship Awards. We have worked with Josh from when he started on Level 2 Commis Chef having left secondary education with no GCSE’s. His journey and progression has been so inspiring. He smashed his Chef apprenticeship with a Distinction and is now studying the Level 4 Management programme with a recent well deserved promotion to Head of Catering Operations.
