Our setting in Burton on Trent, Beeches Park Day Nursery is thrilled to announce that they have received the Healthy Living Topic Award from Keep Britain Tidy Eco-Schools Award. Our world and the environment we live in is hugely important to us as a nursery group and all of our settings either have, or are working toward, their Eco-Schools Green Flag status. The children and staff thoroughly enjoy running their eco-committees and achieving some real change at our settings. Hot off the tails of winning the Nursery World "Nursery Food Award" Catering Manager Kate Cresswell has released the Autumn/Winter menu for The DEN Nursery Group. There's a really diverse range of flavours featured this season with meals featuring Yellow Dahl, Ratatouille, Sauerkraut, Greek Meze and Bubble and Squeak to name but a few. We are dedicated to helping parents give their children the best possible nutritional start here at our nurseries. With complex vitamins and minerals, calcium, fibre, and iron rich foods, every mealtime is an opportunity for growth. Packed with anti oxidants our yummy dishes protect children's cells from damage, support eye health, aid in brain function and contribute to mental health improvement. It with great delight that we announce the opening of The DEN Nursery Group's third setting in the Midlands. The Old Vicarage Day Nursery in Swadlincote, South Derbyshire, combines the perfect village location with a building oozing character and history, and extends our reach over to the east of Burton on Trent. We are very excited to be able to offer parents locally an opportunity for their child to directly benefit from our award-winning food and eco approach, along with our award-nominated wellbeing and outdoor/indoor learning environments. We will be developing the Forest School at the setting and extending our intergenerational project locally.
