The partnership will also offer members 48-hour priority presale access to the HYROX race events including London, Manchester, Glasgow and Birmingham. 🥊 Responding to the growing popularity of on-demand fitness, The Gym Group will also be expanding BOX12 workout pods to an additional five gyms, after being the first high value, low cost gym to offer the technology in the UK. ⭐ The Gym Group Be Your Personal Best Conference 2024 ⭐ 📣 Last week, we hosted our annual TGG Conference in London where team members from across the country, from Gym Operations to Gym Support, came together to celebrate success so far this year and look ahead to growth plans for 2025. 🏆 After an insightful day of presentations from TGG teams across the business and our CEO Will Orr, we held our annual awards ceremony to recognise teams and individuals who have gone the extra mile to deliver their personal best and a top experience for our members. Another big congratulations to our award winners Anita Varga, Dale Crawford, Jack Birmingham, Jack W., Tom Warren, Ross Eldergill & Jennifer Tardiff and our Gym Team of the Year, Uxbridge.   ⛷️We finished the day with a well-deserved ‘Apres-G’ style celebration where there were lots of impressive outfits on show! 📢 Today we are delighted to announce that The Gym Group has become the first UK 24/7 national fitness operator to certify FITcert® Level 4. We are proud to be sector leaders for health and safety excellence. Congratulations to Joey F., and the The Gym Group's Health and Safety team for delivering this milestone achievement, only a year after achieving UKAS accredited certification for the international standard for health and safety management systems, ISO 45001:2018. The FITcert® scheme is led by EuropeActive and the Royal Netherlands Standardization Institute (NEN) and is the first, recognised, sector-certification programme for Europe. Kai Troll, CEO of EuropeActive said: “We are delighted to acknowledge The Gym Group's achievement of full certification at Level 4 of the FITcert® scheme. FITcert® sets the highest quality benchmark across Europe for standards in safety and health in our industry." Kiwa UK and Kiwa ISA Sport was the external certifying body for The Gym Group as it progresses through the FITcert® certification process and said: "The high standards demonstrated by The Gym Group sets a great example to all fitness clubs in the UK and Europe." As we have grown to over 240 gyms and over 900,000 members nationwide, providing safe spaces remains our priority, and this certification demonstrates to our members and teams how seriously we take the health and safety of our gyms.

Today our CEO Will Orr spoke at HCM Magazine Summit 2024 in London. Will spoke about The Gym Group's founding mission to break down barriers to fitness and deliver social value, as well our plans for the future and The Next Chapter growth strategy. High value, low cost is the fastest growing segment of the gym market, and we will be opening c.50 new gyms nationwide over the next three years. Will also joined Liz Terry on stage for a discussion on opportunities and challenges for the sector, as well as the power of data-driven decisions, and always putting the member experience at the centre of what we do. Great to join such a fantastic agenda, with speakers from across health, wellness, and fitness. This included our Female Health First programme partners at The Well HQ, with Baz Moffat speaking about their important work to prioritise female health. Today for World Menopause Day, we are sharing the fantastic progress of our Female Health First programme with The Well HQ. Launched in 2023, we now have over 60 gym teams nationwide, equipped with the knowledge and understanding of the unique needs of the female body and life cycle, and skilled to deliver our female health-focused classes. Together, we’re not just talking about these important issues—we’re actively working to support our community and teams.  We’re also proud to uphold our Menopause Friendly commitments. Recently, we hosted Over The Bloody Moon for an impactful allies workshop. Our male colleagues had the opportunity to experience some menopause symptoms firsthand through innovative tools like the MenoVest™ and VR headset. This experience supports further empathy and understanding, equipping our colleagues to be even better allies. We will always strive to creating a supportive and empowering environment for our teams and members, providing a great workplace and work out space, where everyone feels valued and understood. 💙  

📣 Last week we proudly opened our newest gym in East London, in Bromley by Bow - https://lnkd.in/ecAyuRHr 📍Located at Leaside Lock, the new gym is a short walk from both Bromley by Bow Underground Station and Devons Road DLR Station. Packed full with high-spec kit, 24/7 access, a friendly expert fitness team, and memberships starting at £19.99. 🚀 This is our 241st gym nationwide, and marks another site for The Gym Group's ongoing Greater London expansion, following recent new gym openings in Plaistow and East Ham. We are also opening two new gyms in Surbiton and Shepherd’s Bush. Through our national charity partnership with NHS Charities Together 💙, The Gym Group Bromley by Bow will also pair with a local NHS charity. This will focus on supporting fundraising, wellbeing, and volunteer initiatives, aligning with our mission to create healthier and fitter communities around the country. 👏 Thank you Liam Hutchings and team for opening this fantastic new gym!

📣 Today we were pleased to share our Interim Results for the six months ending 30th June 2024. A strong first half performance, demonstrating continued positive momentum and progress. 💻 https://lnkd.in/eRxVyBJB 💫 Highlights from the announcement include: - Revenue growth of 12% for the period year on year, and 905,000 members at the end of June 2024 - Seven new gyms opened this year (four in H1), and on track to open 10-12 by year end, with a strong pipeline of sites supporting plans to open c.50 sites over three years - Upgraded facilities and equipment in around 150 gyms - Member visits up by 5% compared with the prior year, and continued strong member engagement, with an increase to 58% of members giving a 5/5 rating - Next Chapter growth plan, announced in March 2024, starting to deliver progress CEO Will Orr commented: “Further positive trading momentum during the first half reflects the continued early benefit of executing on our Next Chapter strategy, set out in March. We have increased membership, revenue and profit, and our market-leading proposition is more resonant than ever, in a growing market.” 💙 Thank you to all our teams for this strong set of H1 results, as we continue to grow and deliver on our mission to break down barriers to fitness, and support healthier communities nationwide.
