In a world where tech seems to touch every part of our lives, it’s more important than ever for us all to hone our emotional intelligence. It’s not just about being smart with gadgets; it’s about being wise with people! Emotional intelligence helps us connect on a deeper level. It helps us to navigate the ups and downs more easily. And it also allows us to lead with genuine empathy. When we develop these skills, it makes our professional lives not just successful, but meaningful.

Hi all, Seb here! 👋 I thought it was worth reintroducing myself to my incredible network here on LinkedIn 😍 For those who don’t know, I’m a People-Focused Consultant and Coach, Founder of The Helpful Space, and Head of Allyship at Bloom North. My journey has been anything but linear, but my background of 20 years in media & advertising has fuelled my passion for empowering individuals, especially young people, to find their true voice in a noisy world. At The Helpful Space, my mission is to help you strip away the external noise and discover the answers that lie within you. Whether it’s through one-on-one coaching, group workshops, or speaking engagements, I aim to create spaces where you can truly connect with your inner strengths and values, in order to flourish. I often get asked, why coaching? Well, I believe that in today’s tech-driven world, it’s easy to lose sight of our authentic selves amidst the constant bombardment of external opinions and social media pressures. For me, coaching is the perfect tool to slow things down and help to illuminate those things that matter. I also believe that real confidence comes from within - from understanding and embracing who you are at your core. That’s why I dedicate my work to helping you find clarity and building that all important self-belief. After all, there’s no point finding cheerleaders if we can’t also toot our own horn when it matters! In my volunteer role as the Head of Allyship at Bloom North, I advocate for a more inclusive and supportive environment in the workplace. It’s crucial that we listen, learn, and take actionable steps to support underrepresented voices. Allyship is about empathy, advocacy, and standing up for one another - these are values that I hold dearly and strive to embody in my work every day. Looking ahead, I have lots of exciting news to share! I’ll be speaking at MAD//FEST LONDON in a fortnight's time about why we need more male activists & not just allies - and I’ve got some exciting partnerships with global agencies to share soon as well 🤐 Finally, a big thank-you for being part of my social community & please know that I value all the words of encouragement that are so often shared. It means so much to know that you're making a difference when you work for yourself! 💙 To any newbies reading this, let’s please connect! Drop a comment or DM if you want to know anymore about how The Helpful Space can help you or your teams 🙏 #coaching #allyship #selfbelief #TheHelpfulSpace #personalgrowth

An exciting partnership with an important message - thank you Stefanie Sword-Williams FRSA (she/her) for asking for our contribution! 🙏🙏🙏
Development Coach | Founder @TheHelpfulSpace | Head of Allyship @BloomNorth | Lead 5050's Champion of Change 2024 | NPW Awards 2024 Game Changer “The Advocacy List” | UN Women UK delegate (CSW68)
Stefanie Sword-Williams FRSA (she/her), author of F*ck Being Humble, set me a challenge last week. In her trademark style, she sought to disrupt the status quo around #internationalwomensday by putting a different lens on things… What if we focused on empowering MEN to drive positive change around #inclusion? How might men get more involved in #genderequality discussions? Or support the key initiatives like pay transparency, flexible working, and diverse leadership? Might The Helpful Space be able to create practical tips and recommendations for men to engage in these conversations more effectively? Yes, yes I can! Introducing our guide for men to have more inclusive conversations, featuring 8 relatable scenarios 👇 👇 👇 This guide is designed to make advocacy accessible and actionable for everyone, with a particular emphasis on MEN. Without the involvement of white, straight cisgender men in inclusion and diversity efforts, we lack crucial representation necessary for driving change. Stef is fully dedicated to advancing this conversation, so stay tuned for more updates in the coming days - We're far from finished with this one!!
