Join Our Board as a Trustee - Help Us Make a Difference in Our Community The Livewell Foundation - a grant giving charity which aims to improve the health and happiness of local people, is seeking committed and driven individuals to join our Board of Trustees. About the Role: As a Trustee, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction and future of our organisation. You will work alongside other Board members and the Livewell Southwest leadership team to provide oversight, guidance, and support to ensure we achieve our goals and continue to make a difference to the lives of our local community. Key Responsibilities: 1. Attend and actively participate in quarterly Board meetings. 2. Contribute to strategic decision-making and policy development. 3. Provide guidance on key issues such as, governance, grant giving, fundraising, and financial oversight. 4. Participate in regular grant giving discussions and decisions. 5. Champion our mission and help raise awareness within your networks. 6. Support fundraising and resource development efforts as needed. Applications are now open for our large grants! Grants are up to £10,000 for projects / organisations in the Plymouth and surrounding post codes. Applications must be linked to our aims of 1. Improve health and wellbeing, 2. Reduce mental and physical ill health and / or 3. Reduce social isolation. Please also note that for 2024-25, the foundation has made a strategic decision to focus more funding towards two key health areas: 1. Children's mental health and / or 2. Women's health. Closing date 31 December 2024. Funding to be distributed by 31 March 2025.
