It was awesome to attend the first-ever Meta Agency Awards last night, and we’re thrilled to be Highly Commended in the Diversity in Advertising category for our work with Fenty Beauty! A huge thank you to the team here at The Media Image for their work on this account, as well as to our Meta reps, Ben Bolger and Emma Mathews, for their ongoing support throughout the year. It’s the perfect way to close out the year with this recognition! Congratulations to everyone who was shortlisted, and thanks to Meta for hosting such a fantastic evening. We’re looking forward to finishing the year strong and making 2025 even better!

Mark Schroffner and I were honored to represent The Media Image at the Microsoft Advertising Partner Awards in New York last week! A huge thank you to Microsoft for hosting such a fantastic evening at the iconic Cipriani. From the delicious menu and excellent drinks to the great music, it was truly an event to remember. While we weren’t nominated this time, it was inspiring to celebrate the achievements of our industry peers and see their hard work recognized. Events like this remind us of the incredible talent and dedication in our field. We’re thrilled that Rowan Kleij and Marton Szigeti will represent us in Amsterdam next month, where The Media Image is proud to be nominated for Excellence in International Growth and Excellence in Growth awards. Fingers crossed for some big wins! Thank you again to Microsoft for recognizing the effort and impact of so many in the industry.

We are pleased to announce that The Media Image has been listed in The Financial Times - Europe’s Long-Term Growth Champions, a first-of-its-kind recognition. This prestigious ranking, compiled by Statista, highlights independent companies that have sustained growth in sales despite economic uncertainties over the last decade. Our inclusion—ranked 125th out of 300—places us ahead of established brands such as Spotify and Fever-Tree. Notably, we are one of only 48 companies based in the UK. We were previously listed in the FT 1000: Europe’s Fastest Growing Companies in both 2018 and 2019, which recognized three-year growth rates. To now achieve this recognition for sustained growth over the last 10 years is a testament to our progress. This achievement reflects our on going commitment to service delivery excellence and operational agility. Congratulations to our fellow companies across Europe recognized in the index. #TMI #TheMediaImage #Growth #OperationalExcellence

I was thrilled to represent The Media Image, with Mark Schroffner at Media Week, hosted by ADWEEK last week in New York. Dozens of speakers over two days spoke on topics as varied as car-top OOH, brand loyalty, and measurement. Amongst all the noise though, three themes stood out to me: 🛒 Retail Media 💻: In the 8 years since Best Buy launched the first retail media platform, 200+ other retailers have launched their offerings. Alongside feed-based ad products from the major platforms Google, Meta, and TikTok in the forms of Performance Max, Advantage+ shopping, and Video Search Ads, the shift of media closer to the point of sale is here to stay. As these platforms accelerate their shift from being rudimentary media engines to more sophisticated offerings, marketers will need to upskill and stay ahead of the innovation curve. It will be interesting to see how much budgets shift down the funnel and closer to the POS over the next 24 months. 👫 Social Commerce 🛍️: The advent of social commerce in North America has been predicted every year for the last 10 or so as it has gained significant prominence in China. With the introduction of eBay live, Amazon Live and the growing popularity of TikTok live and TikTok shops, there is growing consensus that 2025 really could be the year we all start live shopping. Momentum is certainly building in the space; we’re all curious to see if 2025 will finally be Social Commerce’s year. 📺 Streaming 👀: The shift to streaming marches on. Since Netflix added an ad-supported tier in late 2022, Apple TV is now the final ad-free holdout amongst the major streamers - for now. The new acronym du jour is FAST - Free Ad-supported Television - offered by the likes of Tubi, Freevee, and Samsung TV+. With consumers increasingly subscription-fatigued, and churn high, these free and freemium options offer some respite. We’ll see if these offerings offer prolonged stickiness but if they do one thing is for sure - marketers will need to segment their streaming investments wisely to maximize reach.
