We’ve just had the pleasure of hosting our 2nd annual International Women’s Day panellist discussion and what a truly inspiring experience it was. We were delighted to invite three of our inspirational The Perfume Shop women to join as panelists: 💜Ciara, A true grow our own story who has worked her way up at The Perfume Shop and was recently promoted to Area Manager. 💜Hannah Walsh , who recently stepped into our Senior Management Team. 💜Pauline, an inspirational lady who’s worked for The Perfume Shop for over 30 years and manages one of our stores (she even trained Gill for her first working in store at Christmas). We were also delighted to be joined by Leyla, a passionate ambassador for our charity partner Look Good Feel Better UK. All these women shared some incredible insights into their careers and certainly shared what accelerating action is really about. A chance to discuss the importance of supporting other women, to build confidence when times are tough, to create a balance between work and home life, which as women can be tough at times, and adapting to change. We’d like to say a huge thanks to all our panelists, to Jo Tyler (she/her) for being an incredible host, and to all those Perfume People who joined us. This week, for International Women’s Day, we’re continuing to shine a light on some of our scentsational female leaders, who have taken to the small screen to share a little bit about their journey and to give some advice on getting ahead as a woman. 🎉 Our Warehouse Team Raises Over £28k for Look Good Feel Better! 🎉   We were thrilled to invite Mark F., Chief Executive at Look Good Feel Better UK, to join Gill S. yesterday at The Perfume Shop warehouse in Dunstable to celebrate the staggering amount raised for the charity by our incredible warehouse team in 2024 – over £28k! The team were inspired to support the communities local to them early in 2024, having been told how much it was to support their local Look Good Feel Better workshop. So we're really proud that the money raised will fund the Luton & Dunstable hospital's Look Good Feel Better workshops throughout 2025 - which is only a couple of miles away from our warehouse and supports over 2,000 people each year.   The day gave us a brilliant opportunity to welcome Mark to the warehouse, to meet the amazing team behind all the fundraising activities, and for him to experience one of these fantastic activities first hand – a bake sale to beat all bake sales 🎂! The team raised an enormous £580 for the charity yesterday – a real testament to the team’s efforts and the cakes that were baked.   This is what Mark said: “I was lucky enough to say a few words to The Perfume Shop warehouse team, to thank them all for their huge and passionate support for Look Good Feel Better UK and most of all, their passion and commitment to supporting cancer communities within their local area. 💜💜 Thank you all for a brilliant morning and for the chance to meet you and thank you in person, it means a lot to me.
