About us
THE PIGs are really restaurants with rooms and kitchen gardens. The concept was created in 2011 with THE PIG, Brockenhurst and our litter now consists of hotels across the south coast in Hampshire, Dorset, Kent, Devon, Somerset, Cornwall and West Sussex. Each hotel has its own personality and sense of self. Each evolved rather than interior designed, with laid-back warm service, and a genuine commitment to environmental and social responsibility. With an obsessive commitment to home grown and local produce, THE PIGs celebrate the seasons and use only the best, freshest and most authentic foods and ingredients. It is all about our kitchen gardens, they are the beating heart of each operation… everything is driven by the gardener/forager and chef.

Throughout June, THE PIG will be supporting our good friend Alex Lewis in his PIG2PIG challenge which will raise money for a charity close to our heart, Hospitality Action. Alex, a quadruple amputee, will take on the following over the course of a month with his team: 🐖Row 350 miles from Cornwall to Dover (a world first for a quadruple amputee!). 🐖Then hand cycle 650 miles from Kent to Cornwall, covering the length of the country via each of the eight PIGs. We will be cheering Alex and his team on across THE PIGs by hosting them for the different stages of the challenge. To help support the challenge and Alex’s fundraising efforts, we are adding a voluntary £1 donation to your restaurant bill.
