About us
The Rotunda is an anchor charity based in five, Grade II listed Georgian buildings in Kirkdale, North Liverpool. We have been serving our local community for 33 years and our mission is to lead on social regeneration. We are home to Rotunda College- an accessible and inclusive education provider specialising in flexible adult learning and career progression courses. We also host a wide variety of community education in the arts and humanities and vocational and functional skills. The Rotunda supports the local community and beyond, with free counselling, welfare and legal advice, community events, and workshops. Our Garden Bistro doubles as a history resource, and we are also home to an Ofsted 'GOOD' rated Nursery, a beautiful Community Wellbeing Garden (sponsored by Jo Malone London), and open green space with our own Folly sculpture for events. Our Enterprise and Heritage Centre houses a grand Conference room with original Georgian detail, bright and spacious office and desk hire and we have a large IT Suite and events room for events, filming and meeting hire. This week marks the 40th anniversary of ⭐️Volunteers Week ⭐️ We are incredibly grateful for our amazing team of Rotunda Volunteers! Rita started volunteering with us just a few weeks ago…… “Volunteering changed my life at 63 years of age for the better, with a new qualification in catering and a sense of purpose with an eye for future opportunities that I really didn’t consider. Session Staff Vacancy Available - regular hours that work for you! An exciting opportunity has arisen to work alongside our wonderful nursery team as a sessional worker, working flexible hours across our nursery and preschool rooms. We are seeking someone who is fun and enthusiastic about shaping the minds of our tiny humans! The successful candidate will: - Have a big smile that welcomes children, makes them feel safe, loved and cared for - Have excellent knowledge of nursery rhymes and be confident in singing them (ability to be able to sing in tune is not essential) - Understand the differences between superheroes and know what their specific powers are! - Be able to read a story, sometimes with up to 5 interruptions per page - Have a big imagination so that when a child tells you that you are a princess, you are the best princess they will ever see outside of Disneyland. - Be able to count up to 18 children, none of whom will be standing still - Be able to make a gourmet meal out of playdough - Enjoy splashing in muddy puddles - Love every child who comes through our door and work with the team to offer them the best possible start to their early education If you feel like you are up to the challenge and want to join our team, call Sarah on 0151 298 3802
