We’ve opened up shop. The UK’s first-ever on-demand mental health service, right in the High Street in Shoreditch. We will be open seven days a week offering access to a good conversation to a qualified person. Not just for when people are feeling shit or overwhelmed — but for when they want to proactively work on their mental health. Just like they would go to the gym for their physical health. The space will also be a new home for workshops and group sessions, a meeting point for like-minded people wanting to do the work with other people. A place for community. We know that it doesn’t take “everyone in the world” to positively shift the culture around mental health, but only a small, determined group who refuse to shy away from the conversation. This is you. Everytime you walk through the door, you give permission to others to do the same. Every time you share a post, every time you tell a friend about us, every time you talk about therapy or how you really feel — these are all small acts that will help to reshape the perception of mental health in wider society and contribute massively toward an enduring good. Thank you for being with us on this journey. Wherever you’re at, however you’re feeling — you’re not alone in it. We’ve got you. #mentalhealth

I've spent the past seven years delivering therapy, workshop programmes, and training for the UK’s top Ad agencies. In this time, I’ve seen a trend of increasingly poor mental health across all levels. Our pals at NABS found that 64% of UK advertising and media industry employees have considered leaving the industry because their work negatively impacted their wellbeing. These industries are in a critical state. Agencies are closing. Layoffs are rolling in. Budgets are tightening. And still, the pressure to perform, to pitch, to produce brilliant work at breakneck speed hasn’t let up. If anything, it’s worse. In an industry that thrives on inspiration, what happens when burnout, self-doubt, and anxiety take over? What do you do when the thing you love (the thing you’ve built a career around) feels like the thing that’s breaking you? And when mental health challenges show up in a field where instability, rejection, and relentlessness are commonplace, how do we stop pretending we’re sound and start making real, sustainable changes? For too long, mental health in creative industries has been dismissed as ‘part of the job’, a price we pay for working in spaces that demand everything from us. But perfectionism, imposter syndrome, and the fear of ‘losing it’ shouldn’t be the cost of doing what we love. I'm back next Thursday with our new Not Suitable for Work: The Mental Health Crisis in Creative Industries - a live conversation on why mental health in this field is more urgent than ever and how we can begin to shift towards healthier, sustainable creative environments. Join us for free here lads, gals, and non-binary pals: https://lnkd.in/dBsB3tbV — Give this a share or tag someone it might benefit. Got a question for us or a comment you'd like to share? Gwaaan then, drop it below... #mentalhealth #creativeindustries #advertising

We invite you to an open, honest, and action-driven conversation for HR and People People on 27th February about how we can create cultures of zero tolerance towards sexual violence, empower people to speak up, recognise the impact on survivors, and take real steps to build workplaces that don’t just say they care about safety—but actually do something about it. This session isn’t about ticking boxes—it’s a call to action. Expect real talk, real tools, and real impact. Because #ItsNotOK, and we all have a role to play. This event will take place on our TOGETHER by Self Space platform - your new home for digital mental maintenance. You'll get a chance to register for free and gain access to peer-led support to connect with others on the same journey, practical resources with tools to help your teams thrive, and a space for ongoing growth to continue developing professionally, all in one place.
