📣 Calling all HR leaders and Employee Wellness Managers - as you are busy planning for 2025 it's important to pause and reflect on a critical, but often overlooked factor in workplace productivity and employee wellness: 💤 SLEEP 💤 Did you know that poor sleep costs the UK economy £40 billion annually in lost productivity, equivalent to 1.86% of GDP*? Well-rested employees are not only more productive, but also demonstrate better decision-making, creativity, and resilience. Yet, the modern workplace often undervalues the role of restorative sleep, leading to burnout, disengagement, and increased absenteeism. WHAT CAN WE DO? Incorporating sleep training and workshops into employee wellness programs can be a game-changer. By educating teams about sleep hygiene, providing resources for better rest, and normalising conversations about sleep, we can foster healthier, more energised workplaces. Imagine a culture where employees are empowered to bring their best selves to work—not because they pushed through exhaustion, but because they were supported to thrive holistically. That’s our mission and one we can build together for your business. So, if you are searching for the perfect workshop to kick off your 2025 employee wellbeing programme, drop a 👋 below and we will send you our menu of corporate support packages. #HRLeadership #EmployeeWellness #SleepTraining *Source: RAND Europe

At The Sleep Project, we’re pleased to see Dr. Caitlin Chasser bringing attention to the critical role of sleep in leadership and performance. Her recent seminar series on the Superpowers of Sleep at IE Business School and IE Business School showcased how sleep science can be applied to real-world challenges, equipping future leders with valuable insights for their personal and professional lives. It’s great to see educators and students alike embracing the importance of sleep for thriving in today’s demanding world. #SleepHealth #Education #ThePowerOfSleep #TheSleepProject
🌟 Teaching the Superpowers of Sleep at IE University and IE Business School 🌟 I am thrilled to share my incredible experience teaching a 6-seminar program on the Superpowers of Sleep to both the Masters and Bachelor students at IE University. This program, part of the inspiring initiatives by the Center for Health and Well-being, has been a journey of insight, engagement, and transformation. The mission of the Center deeply resonates with me: "From the classroom to the workplace, modern life poses many difficult challenges. Higher education must equip individuals with the life skills necessary not only to survive but to thrive amidst these challenges." In our “always-on” world, where deadlines, notifications, and pressures abound, it’s more critical than ever to understand how foundational elements like sleep impact our ability to live, work, and lead effectively. 🙌 Highlights from the course: 🔸 Full enrollment: A testament to the importance and relevance of the topic. 🔸 Incredible engagement: Students brought thought-provoking insights and quickly connected the science to their personal and professional lives. 🔸 Outstanding presentations: The end-of-course projects blew me away! Students turned evidence-based research into practical solutions for workplaces and learning institutions, showcasing creativity, critical thinking, and a vision for impactful leadership. 💡 A huge thank you to my students for your enthusiasm and brilliance! It was an honor to contribute to your journey. I’m so excited to see how you’ll take these learnings forward in your future roles as leaders. Here’s a sneak peek at some of the amazing slides from their presentations! 👇 #SleepScience #Leadership #HealthAndWellBeing #HigherEducation #ThrivingNotSurviving #IEUniversity Sofia Asher Maria Alejandra Barreto Castaño Maria Isabelle B. "Employers have a unique opportunity—and responsibility—to foster a workplace culture that supports both mental health and sleep health, especially for men who may feel additional barriers to seeking help." The impact of sleep and mental health in the workplace is significant, and it is encouraging to see companies increasingly offer the support that is so necessary. Over on our blog we outline how these four simple steps can make a huge difference for men's wellbeing: ➡️ https://lnkd.in/ex3cqvg8

Some conversations are hard to start, especially in the workplace.... ...and often so when it comes to sleep, and / or mental health. But this is what you need to know: 💤 There is a significant connection between Mental Health and Sleep, with adults suffering from insomnia 2-4 X more likely to develop a mental health condition over time, so recognising the impact of poor sleep (early on) is vitally important 💤 Every mental health condition is associated with sleep disturbances, so treating sleep issues can be as powerful and effective as taking medication, particularly for anxiety and depression. But because both are so closely interrelated, it's a chicken and egg situation - which you do solve first? From our clinical work in practice, and from industry research, there is evidence to prove that seeking support for sleep issues can make a huge and positive impact on mental health. If you are an Employee Wellness lead, or work within the HR profession, these are conversations that may be happening with friends and family, but these supportive conversations and support could - and should - also be happening within the workplace too. To find out more about how to start these conversations, or to find out more about our Corporate support programmes and packages - https://lnkd.in/dmNEn7MH
