The importance of using validated LCA to substantiate business decisions in the circular economy! Earlier this week at Foam Expo Dr. rer. nat. David Spitzer took part in the panel discussion 'Overcoming Regulation Fatigue to Achieve Sustainable Goals'. Dr. rer. nat. David Spitzer, innovation manager, shared his insights on how the industry can address these challenges. He highlighted the importance of integrating tools such as Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) to identify sustainability opportunities and prioritise impactful actions . At Vita we already use validated LCA for example, Vita’s Lightweight Graphite Foam, designed to assist aircraft manufacturers in significantly reducing the total weight of their aircraft -  by helping to achieve substantial fuel savings and thereby reducing carbon emissions during operations. #FoamExpo2024 #SustainableGoals #Aviation #Aircraft

Did you know that we reintroduce our offcuts and what we take back from the market back into the production cycle? Novus, a rebonded foam, is produced in square and round foam blocks through a process of bonding granulated post-industrial foam trim, and is carried out in 3 simple steps: 1️⃣Reprocess trim: Foam trim is graded then shredded. 2️⃣Rebonding: Binder is added to the foam and is moulded to the correct specifications and then cured. 3️⃣Sticking and Conversion: The cured foam is peeled to the correct thickness or cut to required length and width. Cutting and peeling could be carried out either by ourselves (internal conversion) or by the customer themselves. Vita Ludus donate 1200 mattresses to families amid challenging times in Lebanon! Amid escalating challenges in Lebanon, thousands of families have been displaced, forced to seek shelter wherever they can find it. Responding to this crisis, The Vita Group’s team in Romania joined forces with the Red Cross to provide critical support to those most in need. Our Ludus team in Romania donated 1,200 new mattresses to the Lebanese Red Cross, a contribution aimed at easing the hardships for those directly impacted by the ongoing conflict.
