After a year on the festival circuit, #Bumped is now available to watch on BBC iPlayer. Directed by the fantastic Mahaneela . and written by the brilliant author Liv Little, #Bumped is rooted in a real-world statistic: fewer than 2% of fertility donors in the US and UK are POC. With the global rollback of D&I initiatives, this disparity is likely to grow, further impacting couples facing fertility challenges and same-sex couples. The film follows Michelle and Deja, a newly engaged couple deeply in love and ready for the next chapter of their lives. But when an unexpected betrayal shakes their relationship, Deja is forced to question everything—just as they prepare to start a family. A huge thank you to our incredible cast and crew for bringing this film to life + the BBC Film team, specifically Eva Yates, Claudia Yusef & Anuradha Henriques. This one’s for #SouthAfrica Our lovely little film, ‘The People of the Sun’, has been selected for this year’s Edmonton Film Festival in Canada and the British Urban Film Festival in the UK! A huge thanks to these incredible festivals for shining their light on this beautiful community. If you haven’t heard of the #SanPeople, they are the indigenous people of Southern Africa and the closest relatives to the first humans. #OumaKatrinaEsau is the LAST speaker of the ancient San language N|uu, which dates back over 20,000 years! As part of our festival run, we’ll be fundraising for Ouma Katrina and the San community. You can learn more on our website - www.ThePeopleOfTheSun.com - and donate in SA and the UK.
