WINNER WINNER TURKEY DINNER The Caley Group Christmas Raffle has ended and the winners have been drawn. Congratulations to Darren McIntosh of McIntosh Consultancy who won the big prize of a £500 Amazon Voucher. Well done to Nila Thomas of CGE for bagging second prize of a Breville Dual Oven Air Fryer. Thank you so much to everybody who took part and helped us raise funds for Social Bite. Our raffle raised £745 with another £300-£400 due to be added from our mini internal raffle and Christmas jumper days, taking our total past our £1000 target. The Caley Group will also be making a direct donation to Social Bite and we encourage you to check them out and help if you can. Their goal of ending homelessness is not an easy one and they can do with all the help they can get and we thank all who took part once more for helping make a little difference at Christmas to those who need it most. The Social Bite Villages in Edinburgh and South Lanarkshire provide safe, supported living environments for individuals experiencing homelessness. These villages offer more than just shelter—they are vibrant communities where residents receive wraparound support, fostering a transition to permanent housing and employment. In Edinburgh alone, over 100 residents have successfully moved to stable accommodations since its inception. As the Edinburgh Village prepares for its exciting relocation to Granton Waterfront, the addition of redesigned "Nest Houses" will ensure residents enjoy greater independence and comfort. This model is a powerful blueprint for tackling homelessness at its roots. Social Bite: Festival of Kindness 🎄 The holiday season is brighter thanks to Social Bite’s Festival of Kindness! Last year, the campaign helped deliver thousands of care packages, bringing warmth and hope during a challenging time. SANTA BILLY!!! 🎅 St Mirin's Primary Out of School Care had arranged a Santa's Grotto in their peace garden but, due to unforeseen circumstances, found themselves missing a somewhat integral component of a grotto... Santa Claus! When The Caley Group's Alison Sweeney saw the festive distress call in her parents' group chat, she did what The Caley Group does best - she solved a problem and sourced what was needed! Step forward The Caley Group's Billy Walker! Billy didn't need too much persuading to jump into the big red suit, take on the role of Father Christmas, and save the day for the kids of St Mirin's. Aside from Santa managing to drop his bell on arrival due to the numerous fist bumps and high fives from the many excited children, then mistakenly giving permission for one of the kids to eat their chocolate immediately, Santa Billy excelled in the suit. 🤣 From hearty “ho, ho, ho’s” to making sure every child felt the magic of the season, Billy truly embodied the spirit of giving and community. His heart-warming effort reminds us that sometimes, the best gift is simply delivering when it counts. Margaret from St Mirin's was delighted, saying "Thank you for offering Santa to support us - Billy was amazing. He threw himself into the roll and he was perfect. He fully engaged the children and they loved the experience. Thank you so much."
