At the Casual Observer we do things differently, with a flair, and in a manner that will even inspire a dead strawberry. But what we cannot guarantee though that we will arrive to your site each time driving a vintage convertible automobile. Sorry. #erdbeerkörbchen #teambuilding #leadershipdevelopment #softskills #simulation #CarbonBlack #TheCasualObserver
I wish all my morning commutes were like this: sun's out, roof down and traffic like what you can see in car commercials (i.e. not much). It was a blast to deliver my Destination: Success team building workshop ( https://lnkd.in/ezuZhgrr ) for the leadership team at Carbon Black Ltd in my home town of Nyiregyháza, Hungary. It was great to work together with so many experienced and practical minds, challenge them, push them and see the sparks in their eyes while they were working towards a solution. Thank you Petrohán Tamás (et al) for the opportunity! #teambuilding #leadershipdevelopment #softskills #simulation #TheCasualObserver

At The Casual Observer, we're always looking ahead to the future and how new technologies can shape our work. András Fésüs, our chief observer recently led a course on Administration Skills for New Professionals and sparked some fascinating discussions about AI. What do you think is AI's potential impact on startups and SMEs? #AI #Upskilling #TheFutureisNow #NotYourAverageGuide
Recently finished hurtling through my Administration Skills for New Professionals course where I introduced Artificial Intelligence to the delegates – their minds were officially blown! These AI possibilities are more bizarre and spiffing than a gathering at a Drones Club smoker. Speaking of mind-blowing things, did anyone else catch the recent Infinite Monkey Cage episode on AI with Brian Cox and Robin Ince - if not, I recommend it, although it is long one (42 minutes - coincidence?), so make sure you have the time to listen, available here on BBC Sounds: https://lnkd.in/eahE3hek . The podcast and the conversations with the delegates on my course got me thinking: AI in the workplace – friend or foe for startups and SMEs? Just a thought to ponder as you will be sipping your Pan Galactic Gargle Blasters soon this Friday afternoon. #AI #FutureofWork #WontNeedThosePapersAnymore #NotYourAverageGuideToTheGalaxy #TheCasualObserver

Upskilling Your Team: Let’s eff, the ineffable! Face it, traditional training can be about as exciting as watching paint dry. You know that moment in the afternoon, nearing the time of the afternoon tea break, when you’re struggling to keep your eyes open. And you have boring biscuits to dunk into your tea, too. Here at The Casual Observer, we believe your team deserves better. We're the curious (and casual) observers in the corner, taking a look at how to develop your team’s communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and leadership skills – all delivered with a healthy dose of wit (and none of the dreaded PowerPoint snooze-fest). Think of us as your training Sherpas, but with a penchant for witty repartee and a touch of the unexpected. We're not your average Joe (or Jane) when it comes to training. Here's what sets us apart: Immersive, Scenario-Based Training: Ditch the monotonous lectures and dive into engaging scenarios. We worked with the best, helping the British Armed Forces to prepare for deploying to Iraq and Afghanistan. We use a similar approach, only less Improvised Explosive Device, and more Impactful, Engaging and Dramatic learning. AI for the Astute: We're not just about buzzwords and hype. We stay at the forefront of AI developments, specifically for startups, SMEs, and the education sector. We help you understand how AI can be a powerful teammate, not a sci-fi overlord from a dystopian future. Custom-Designed Courses for the Discerning Mind: From software and process training to anything life throws your company’s way, we can create a course to your specific needs. We are the Saville Row of the training world, ensuring a perfect fit for your team's challenges. So, if you're looking to ditch the dull training routines, then look no further! Contact The Casual Observer today and let's embark on a training adventure that's both effective and, dare we say, enjoyable. We cover the whole of the UK and most of continental Europe. We're also committed to minimizing our environmental impact and aim to travel green whenever possible. When that's not feasible, we'll offset the carbon footprint of our travel. At our own cost!!! Because we care. We are not going to put a link to our website here. You know how to find us! #SkillsDevelopment #TeamBuilding #CommunicationSkills #LeadershipTraining #AI #Education #TheCasualObserver #NotYourAverageGuideToTheLinkedInverse

It is #throwbackthursday - but today is more about looking forward than looking back for us at The Casual Observer. We have just had our first client testimonial in the post (! Old school or what?) - and we hadn't even asked for one. :-) We recently ran our "AI unveiled for education" (check out: https://lnkd.in/eY58WjGK) workshop in a school in the city of Nottingham. Some staff members were already using AI to help them create exciting learning journeys. But there was a #priceless moment when a member of staff says it out loud during the session "Oh, so, that's how you do that!" while having #handsonexperience prompting #ai to generate images. #aiadoption #ai #aichallenges #aiapplications #education #schools #TheCasualObserver #NotYourAverageGuideInTheLinkedInverse

Some Wednesdays may feel like a Vogon poetry reading at times, but it turns out, it is named after the mighty Norse god, Odin (also known as Woden) - Old English Wōdnesdæg, Woden's day. So next time you face a mid-week slump, channel your inner Viking spirit and conquer your to-do list! #wednesdaywisdom #NotYourAverageWednesday #WodenKnowsYourStruggles

A Cambridge academic recently faced a loo-sing situation, trapped for hours! She channeled her inner MacGyver and escaped using erm, ... an eyeliner and a cotton bud! #TheCasualObserver #ProblemSolvingSkills #ThinkOutsideTheBox Link to article: https://lnkd.in/e6_6i_wu
