This is where we can help; supporting families financially so they can focus on one thing at a time and care for their child without worrying about their finances. Today we went to the PICU at the Freeman Hospital to see families and give them care bags. It was an emotional day for Chris and Sarah, but they do it every year to help other families who are going through what they went through. Thank you to our patron Ross McCarthy for helping us and spending time with the families. Chris says " Today was special, in the name of Carter we were back at the heart unit at the freeman hospital. We will always hold this unit close to our heart, you are all exceptional members of the NHS, The Charlie & Carter Foundation will always be there for you. The gift pile got even bigger this year, and to all parents in the heart unit, stay strong and call if you need us, I can pop down we can have a coffee, you can shout or cry with me, but we can talk, I'm not a counsellor, but I have been through what you are going through. Thank you to all our businesses and the most amazing humans in this world, who donated or sponsored our bags, we are truly grateful. Freeman hospital we will see you again very soon, with our next bags, always in Carter's honour." Today is #GivingTuesday and we are incredibly grateful for each and every person who has supported us. Your amazing generosity has allowed us to support 130 families since our charity began in 2013, allowing us to give over £140,000 to help with daily living costs such as rent, mortgage and utility bills taking the pressure of parents and allowing them to be with their child at a time that matters the most. There are still more families we need to support and if we could ask you to support our Christmas Appeal it would be appreciated. Can you donate £5 to help us?
