  • As venue operators and artist promoters, we welcome the Government’s response and supporting policy regarding grassroots venues.   ‘It is the official policy of the UK Government that every ticket sold at an arena or stadium should contain a financial contribution that supports grassroots music venues, artists and promoters. This represents the single most significant shift in more than fifty years of British music in the basic mechanics of how the live industry financial supports new and emerging talent, the spaces which host it, and the people who take risks to present it.’    https://lnkd.in/eU_NsmnG Venues such as Jazz Cafe, The Blues Kitchens and Phonox have all been crucial stepping stones in artists' early careers, and we’re proud to have supported the incredible talent that has come through our doors. #venues #hospitality #london #music

Last weekend we hosted over 30,000 people at Burgess Park in South London across 2 days of events, showcasing incredible music. On Saturday, Maiden Voyage Festival brought the likes of Arca, Jayda G, Jeff Mills and Palms Trax to our stages. On Sunday, our inaugural Jazz Cafe Festival took place, where Nils Frahm, Earl Sweatshirt, Eliza, and The Alchemist took the reigns. The sun shone over us all weekend. An idyllic setting for what was a climatic ending to the summer of 2024. Our hearts our full. A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of both days: our production team, operations, artists, stage managers, bars, and stewards. It couldn’t have been possible without you. See you next year… 💛

  • On Wednesday 18th September The Parakeet are collaborating with Harry Lobek and chef Fede Pollame of London Shell Co for a one off dinner. The 8 course fish supper menu has been meticulously crafted by both Fede and Ben, containing a unique blend of The Parakeet’s signature coal cooking and LSC’s top shelf produce, resulting in an evening of exquisite food and wine - all in aid of two local causes close to them both ❤️
