From welcoming students at the start of the year to engaging with them through events across campus, our Engagement Partners (EPs) are at the heart of student life! Watch how they make a real impact, ensuring students feel supported and empowered every step of the way. Every scheme is assigned an EP, to ensure both students and universities to get the maximum benefit from our Aspire schemes.

Our annual report highlights the ways students are utilising cash awards to meet their essential needs: 🔹 Bills & Accommodation are the top priorities, ensuring stability and security for those facing hardship. 🔹 Childcare Support plays a vital role for under-represented students, addressing specific challenges with care. 🔹 Travel & Career-Related Expenses equip students to seize placement opportunities and academic growth. Flexibility in funding makes a real difference to students' lives. Our 2023/24 insights reveal: 💷 93% of allocated cash funds were withdrawn, supporting immediate living costs. 💳 71% of allocated credit funds were used in year, helping students with planned expenses. 📈 85% of students found that choosing when and how to access their funds improved their budgeting.

At JS Group we are proud of the impact we make across the HE sector and see the importance of supporting students at a time where there has never been more need. With this in mind, we are thrilled to have collaborated on the WPSM Exceptional Contribution bursary at University of Southampton, funded by JS Group. This bursary is specifically to support mature students who make an exceptional contribution within the Widening Participation and Social Mobility Directorate. It's been great to work with colleagues at University of Southampton and we can’t wait to hear about the impact this bursary has had!
