From breakfast through to bedtime, Three Robins makes oaty goodness for all the family.

About us

At Three Robins, we make delicious, nutritious oat milk designed for the whole family. Three Robins emerged from our own real life, real family challenge to find delicious, nutritious and sustainable dairy alternatives for our busy family of three boys. Filled with natural goodness, we knew that oats were the answer, so we set about creating a range of oat drinks which are rich in calcium, and fortified with the good stuff we all need for healthy bodies and active minds. Our award-winning original and chocolate oat milks are low in sugar, fully fortified and barista standard, making them perfect for the whole family to enjoy from breakfast through to bedtime. Switching to plant-based shouldn’t have to mean missing out on taste, nutrition, or performance, and we hope that your family will love Three Robins as much as we do! 🌾🥛

  • Picture the busy parent in a rush at the supermarket grabbing some snacks as part of the weekly shop. There isn't time to spend hours weighing up choices (particularly if you've got a whiny kid in tow!) and so you rely on familiar brands and a quick glance at the back of pack to reassure you that the product you're picking up hasn't got too much sugar or other bad stuff in it. But what if this info is being misrepresented?? It's so disappointing to hear that Little Freddie's pouches are higher in sugar than what is communicated on pack, particularly as this is something that we know more parents are looking to reduce. This is why the work of the Kids' Food and Drink Collective is so needed, to put pressure on the food and drink industry to demand better from suppliers and also make it easier for parents to find the healthier products that we know they are looking for. We're so excited to be part of this coalition, and if you haven't already then please give KFDC a follow. We've got lots planned in the months ahead and as this story in The Grocer shows, we've definitely got our work cut out but it is really needed too. #babyandtoddler #foodretail #foodservice

Shocking news that some Little Freddie pouches contain significantly more free sugars than stated on pack. Next week we'll be posting about some focus group research we've done with parents, and sugar was one of the hottest topics. Parents are confused, frustrated and deeply suspicious of baby and toddler products BUT they still need convenience so end up falling back on them and feeling guilty for doing so. Among other red lines, one of the Kids' Food & Drink Collective membership criteria is that products must contain no more than 15% free sugars. We're campaigning for the retail and food service industries to offer parents a quick and easy way to find the products that are healthier for their children when they want them, without having to decipher claims, nutritional labels and ingredients lists. Parents will be forever grateful (and loyal) to those who choose to accept this challenge. #babyandtoddler #foodretail #foodservice https://lnkd.in/edmFqqsR

  • With supermarket aisles that look like this, it's no wonder that only 1 in 60 kids lunchboxes are considered "healthy" (The Grocer 2022). When you're in a rush in the shops, possibly with a hungry kid or two in tow, you need to be able to quickly and easily identify which foods and drinks offer a better choice for your family, and they need to be affordable too. That's pretty hard when faced with the pictures below. Surely it's time for a change in the kids' aisles? #foodindustry #childrenshealth #foodanddrink

Sometimes it’s the visual representation of something that truly has an impact… Four everyday children’s food categories in a typical supermarket - yoghurts, cheese snacks, breakfast cereals and frozen. Highlighted are the items that are the lowest in sugar, low in salt and free from artificial ingredients. We haven’t done the exact maths but perhaps it’s around 15%? And this doesn't include the snacking and drinks categories. Further proof of how difficult it is for parents to access healthier, less processed food options for children, and what a fantastic opportunity this presents for retailers to innovate and build growth into a completely stagnant set of categories... #foodretail #foodandbeverage #frozenfood

  • ICYMI, we are so excited to be part of the new Kids' Food and Drink Collective that launched last week. We will be working together alongside seven other amazing businesses to challenge and change our children’s food culture by campaigning for improved access to healthier children’s food. Having just launched our new range of kids oat milk smoothies this summer, we can’t wait to start shaking up the kids snacking aisles with our tasty, healthy AND super convenient new pouches. It’s time to demand better for our kids and better from the industry! Check out our website linked in comments and please give the Kids' Food and Drink Collective page a follow 👇 #kidshealth #foodanddrink #healthysnacks

Now we’re official, it’s time to start introducing the brilliant brands who make up the KFDC! 🙌 First up is Three Robins and their range of delicious oat milk products for the whole family, including a range of plant-based smoothies for kids. After discovering her son was lactose intolerant, founder Karen Robinson, PhD launched the brand after becoming frustrated about the amount of sugar and other added ingredients in most dairy-free products. Three Robins kids' smoothies are simply an oat milk base flavoured with a mix of vegetable and fruit purees and no added sugar. Absolutely perfect for picnics, lunchboxes and afterschool snacks. With so much debate surrounding the market leading yoghurts and pouches, it’s fantastic to see a range of nutritious, genuinely low sugar (and that’s all sugars, even the "natural" ones) smoothies that parents, and not just the plant-based ones, can trust. #plantbased #dairyfree #freefrom

  • We really enjoyed attending a great event this week organised by Food and Drink Federation Scotland and Interface - The knowledge connection for business on reformulation and innovation for health in Scotland, and how the food and drink industry is addressing these challenges. Some of the key takeaways: 👩🔬 Reformulation of products is more effective than expecting consumers to independently make healthier choices, especially for the out of home market. There is evidence to support this, with the average sugar content of soft drinks falling by 29% due to the imposition of the soft drinks industry levy. 🥦 The stats on health and nutrition are shocking: only 6% of adults consume the required daily level of fibre, and 2 out of 3 adults and 30% of children living with obesity or overweight 💡There is a huge amount of innovation going on around ingredients that can be used to reduce levels of fat, salt and sugar whilst also retaining flavour and texture, making reformulation more achievable then ever before 🍕The environmental factors surrounding unhealthy food choices must be recognised, particularly the roles that poverty as well as limited availability or lack of options for healthy food can play. ⚠ Regulations around foods high in fat, salt and sugar (HFSS) are beginning to be introduced, but the potential impact is unclear and the measures have been repeatedly delayed. The Scottish government has just released its latest consultation that proposes to ban all promotion of high fat, salt and sugar products, including in meal deals, which takes the measures further than in England. Reforms are urgently needed, but it will be interesting to see what impact they will have on consumer choices and how the industry responds. We were also delighted that Three Robins was announced as one of the recipients of funding under the Reformul8 Challenge Fund 4! We are investing in NPD over the next few months and will be using the funds to help make our oat milks even healthier 🙌 #healthyfood #scotland #innovation
