About us

Time to Change Wales is a national campaign to end stigma and discrimination faced by people with mental health problems. We aim to change the way we all think and act about mental health; to remove the distinction between people with and without a mental health problem. 1 in 4 of us experience mental health problems. Our aim is to help people feel more comfortable talking about mental health and to improve awareness and understanding. BBy talking about mental health we can break down stereotypes, strengthen relationships, help people recover and take the shame out of something that affects everyone. The campaign is delivered by a partnership of two leading Welsh mental health charities: Adferiad Recovery and Mind Cymru. Mae Amser i Newid Cymru yn ymgyrch genedlaethol i roi diwedd ar y stigma a’r gwahaniaethu a wynebir gan bobl â phroblemau iechyd meddwl. Ein nod yw newid y ffordd yr ydym i gyd yn meddwl ac yn gweithredu ynghylch iechyd meddwl; i gael gwared ar y gwahaniaeth rhwng pobl â phroblem iechyd meddwl a hebddynt. Mae 1 o bob 4 ohonom yn profi problemau iechyd meddwl. Ein nod yw helpu pobl i deimlo'n fwy cyfforddus yn siarad am iechyd meddwl a gwella ymwybyddiaeth a dealltwriaeth. Drwy siarad am iechyd meddwl gallwn chwalu stereoteipiau, cryfhau perthnasoedd, helpu pobl i wella a thynnu’r cywilydd allan o rywbeth sy’n effeithio ar bawb. Cyflwynir yr ymgyrch gan bartneriaeth o ddwy elusen iechyd meddwl flaenllaw yng Nghymru: Adferiad Recovery a Mind Cymru.

  • "Changing behaviours at work takes considerable, joined-up, and sustained effort over a long period of time, but without this process underpinning the policy work, nothing actually changes at the coalface. As the saying goes, ‘culture eats policy for breakfast’, and this couldn’t ring truer when it comes to tackling stigma and driving out toxic behaviour at work. So, we urge you to join this movement in Wales, whether a small or larger employer in Wales, your contribution to this really matters."    It's time for action. Fel y dywed y dywediad, 'diwylliant yn bwyta polisi i frecwast' , ac ni allai hyn fod yn fwy gwir o ran mynd i'r afael â stigma a chael gwared ar ymddygiad gwenwynig yn y gwaith, felly, rydym yn eich annog i ymuno â'r mudiad hwn yng Nghymru, boed yn gyflogwr bach neu'n gyflogwr mwy yng Nghymru, mae eich cyfraniad at hyn yn wirioneddol bwysig."    Mae'n amser gweithredu. "It is time to prioritise Mental Health in the workplace" It's a new week and this Thursday is World Mental Health Day! 🌍 This year, the theme focuses on the importance of mental health at work! We spend so much of our time working and as a natural part of that there will be stress, challenges and hard days. However, those should not be everyday. Your job/career/business/place of work, should not be detrimental to your health and wellbeing. There are employers, managers and colleagues, that genuinely care and that makes all the difference when we need it. As a Time to Change Wales champion, I always try my best to advocate for Mental Health. I have seen just how crucial a strong support system can be in the workplace and have personal experience of wonderful humans who have helped me get through some dark times. For me, working in an organisation that recognises the important of mental health is extremely important. I feel very blessed to have that at Group GTI 😊 Sharing this post a few days ahead of time, with hopes that it inspires discussions and conversations about mental health in the workplace and also to acknowledge all the places and people who are working hard, to create inclusive and safe spaces of work! 👏🏻 Thankyou! #WorldMentalHealthDay
