Here's Samir - our General Manager of the Year! From store turnaround champion at Kingston to rebuilding the team at Wimbledon, he's been making magic happen since joining us in 2022. Former team members even come back just to work with him (now that's leadership!). The best part? His famous "don't worry, we'll sort it out" attitude and that DIY spirit (yes, his first request at Wimbledon was for a drill to handle maintenance himself!). We're all about keeping it real - fresh, authentic, and proudly Californian. So, our leadership team took a little trip to San Francisco, the place where the Tortilla story began. Our founder, Brandon Stephens, led the team Andy Naylor James Garland Stephen Clark Tamla B. on a taco-fuelled tour of the Mission District, revisiting the spots (including the legendary La Taqueria) that first sparked the idea to bring proper Californian-Mexican food to the UK nearly 20 years ago.   As we keep growing, this trip was the perfect reminder of why we do what we do - bringing that Cali magic to neighbourhoods everywhere.

Meet Paola. She's been working at Tortilla Leadenhall for almost 13 years. Yes, you read that right, 13 years! Last Tuesday, Paola received the CEO Star of the Year award for all her hard work and dedication over the years. She represents the true authenticity of our business, even stepping up to support with all core menu development. Paola always has the biggest smile on her face - we couldn’t think of anyone more deserving of this prestigious award. Congrats Paola! We're lucky to have you 🫶🏼

Earlier this week we gathered our General Managers, Support team and Business Leaders from across the UK, France and the UAE for Tortilla's 2025 Annual Conference. This was designed to connect and inspire our team, whilst celebrating all the successes after a transformational 2024.   Throughout the day we heard from our People, Food, Marketing & IT team on the ambitious plans for 2025 - all with a continued focus on authentic Mexican cuisine and delivering high-quality food experiences.   Andy Naylor, our CEO and Maria Denny, our CFO joined us on stage to talk through the record-breaking sales last quarter and vision for 2025, and we welcomed Boehringer Gilles, our Interim Managing Director of France, to share more on their exciting progress and the work we're doing to ensure Mexican food resonates in new markets.
