I love and hate it when I hear a podcast and wish I’d made it. The new one from Tortoise Media by Chloe Hadjimatheou and Gary Marshall is one of those. Chloe Hadjimatheou first called me about this story back in early 2024. As she laid the details over the phone I was astounded: a 14-year-old boy had a 'relationship' with his 27-year-old female teacher but no one wanted to see him as a victim of sexual abuse. 'Gareth' is in his fifties now and he's spent decades trying to come to terms to what happened to him. Please take a listen to this beautifully told, sensitive four-part series by Chloe, Gary Marshall and Hannah Varrall. It was an privilege to produce this series during the first six months of the investigation and to collaborate with such a tenacious and empathetic reporter on this complex story.
