Striving for Competency Consistency Last week was a busy week for the TFG team where we had our annual BAFE SP 205 surveillance visit by NSI (UKAS Accredited Certification Body). This will be our 13th surveillance audit since becoming the 4th Company in the UK to gain the BAFE SP 205 Life Safety Fire Risk Assessment Scheme certification back in 2012. We are proud of our consistent approach to competency and that during the past 12 years, we have had no "non-conformities" of the Scheme raised by the auditors. This means that TFG is consistently performing in accordance with the BAFE SP 205 Scheme requirements. In the same week, we also requested NSI to site witness 3 of our fire risk assessor's FRAs to be audited as "Validators" under the Scheme. We are pleased to say that all 3 assessors passed their audits and this means that they can now Validate other assessor's FRAs and we will be applying for them to be accepted onto Tier 3 of the IFSM's fire risk assessors register. This will enable them to complete and validate FRAs in complex buildings and demonstrates our commitment to continued professional development for our staff.
