Last week's Beach Clean event was a huge success! 🏖 🏖 🏖 In collaboration with Clean Jurassic Coast, our dedicated team of Kim Bowcutt (previously Whiteside) Harland Beesley Alastair March Simona Pastiu and Andy Player spent the afternoon of Nov 5th cleaning a big section of Sandbanks Beach. This initiative is part of Tower's commitment to giving back to our local community, preserving our beautiful coastline and keeping it safe. 👍 Despite the colder weather making it mostly free of tourists, we still found 🔍 Microplastics and 🎣 Fishing rods washed up from recent storms, which both pose a threat to local marine life. We can report that we were able to collect some of the items to be sent to UK companies for recycling to help minimise landfill waste. This beach clean is just the first of two winter events we have planned. Our next clean-up will take place in December at Knoll Beach. Question: How many of the categories of workwear & PPE that we supply do you think have both male and female options? Some of them? All of them? Unisex workwear and PPE are endangered species. The “shrink it or pink it” approach to women’s PPE especially is on its way out as more women join male-dominated industries. Yes, there are one or two product categories that still need diversifying - we’re working with manufacturers to help fill those gaps – but we can now provide female options in… 🔥 FR & arc flash PPE – We have stylish FireBear thermal knitwear base layers, lightweight female his vis mid layers, and wet weather salopettes and jacket outer layers. 👔 Workwear & uniform – Polos, fleeces, softshell, and cargos all available in female fit. And it goes without saying that all our corporate and formal wear is the same. 👢 Footwear – Feet are one of the most important parts of the body. We provide female safety boots that have been specially designed using lasts based on women’s feet. 👓 Hand, head, and eye protection – All three of these categories now have female versions designed for smaller hands and heads to keep every person fully protected at work.
