The TraffiSystem makes safety and compliance simple. 🔴 Red gloves = low cut protection 🔶 Amber gloves = medium cut protection 💚 Green gloves = high cut protection Operatives and managers alike can tell at a glance how suitable a glove is for any given task - reducing the chances of confusion and injury. #ForHandsForLife

About us
Established in 2008 and based in the UK, Traffi is an industry leading designer and manufacturer of #PPE safety gloves. As a company we are committed to promoting hand safety using a combination of innovative product design and hands-on safety training. Our flagship innovation – and the one that has been copied by manufacturers around the world – is the introduction of the 3 colour coding #TraffiSystem. We developed the system after listening to customers in many industries who were asking for a simple and common sense approach to raising safety awareness. So we applied the principle of good, better, best to our gloves and arrived at the RED, AMBER, GREEN TraffiSystem that has improved safety for over 100,000 glove wearers around the world. Thanks to Traffi, everyone can see at a glance whether someone is wearing the right level of cut protection for a particular task. Our RED gloves provide the lowest cut level protection and should not be worn for high risk tasks – hence the warning colour, reminding the wearer to proceed with caution. The AMBER gloves offer a medium level of protection, and GREEN gloves the highest level so you are ‘Safe to go’ when handling potentially sharp or jagged materials. We are committed to sustainability. We're certified carbon neutral as a company and in 2020 we launched the world's first carbon neutral safety glove range.

We've recently heard from multiple clients that since transitioning to Traffi for hand protection - implementing the TraffiSystem of colour coding and taking advantage of the various support aspects on offer - they've experienced a 100% drop in hand and arm injuries. ONE HUNDRED PERCENT. That's zero injuries. Of course, that sort of impact can't be guaranteed, but it's testament to the difference it can make to go beyond top-class gloves to education and company wide buy-in. Building a culture of safety within your organisation improves lives - we'd love to help.

“...moving to Traffi gloves and seeing a whopping 66% reduction in reported cut injuries whilst avoiding over 70 tonnes of carbon.” Don't take our word for it - listen to one of the biggest names in British shipbuilding, or any of our other very happy clients. We love working with individuals and organisations who are genuinely passionate about looking after people. The Traffi team want to help others build cultures of safety throughout projects and supply chains - one of the ways we do this is with toolbox talk, where we come to you and address your specific pain points and concerns directly. Collaboration is key, which is why we're throwing back to one particular talk last year - here is Brook James deep in conversation with a very engaged team on an SES Engineering Services site. If your team could benefit from the personal approach, drop us a message today!

Traffi would like to thank all those who have commented and/or messaged us when they have seen other glove companies launching or promoting ranges that are colour coded by cut resistance - especially when it's done in a traffic light system. Whilst we really do appreciate the support and the fact that people associate us so strongly with that system - which makes sense, we did take our name from it after all - it's worth acknowledging that we never actually even attempted to patent such a system, and with good reason, beyond the fact that we knew it might not be legally possible. Occasionally, and slightly tongue-in-cheek, we refer to ourselves as "the original and the best" but sincerely we don't see these other companies as competition. We're all working together to make the world a safer place. So as long as the product is fit for purpose and is protecting hands properly, to see companies around the world adopting the TraffiSystem, or whatever they happen to call it, is the ultimate validation that the system works. Still, with that in mind, we're sure you'll forgive us a little professional concern around our USP. Volvo didn't patent the three-point seatbelt, and they've saved countless lives with that decision. Of course they have a richer history than us, and have impacted more lives (for now) but it feels good to contribute in some way to keeping hands safer all over the world, whether or not they get their colour-coded gloves from us* *We would certainly recommend getting them from us, though.
