About us

Transmission Dynamics is an award-winning Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) solutions provider, specialising in remote condition monitoring. We design and manufacture our own range of wireless telemetry and data acquisition systems, focusing on low-power consumption, exceptionally low noise, and unbeatable performance for recovering in-service load information from even the most demanding of environments. Our team of engineers are trained to provide rapid and professional assistance, working with customers across the globe. Our expertise relates to a large range of industrial drive systems, ranging from small domestic appliance gearboxes, railway transmissions and automotive timing systems, to large industrial gearboxes used in cement, coal, power generation, and marine industries. Our mission is to create and deploy future self-learning bespoke sensors that acquire data from difficult industrial environments, and to use such data for monitoring industrial assets to solve technical problems globally.

  • Our dynamic duo Murven Wan and Daniel Renton had the privilege of visiting the Beinn an Tuirc 1 wind farm in Argyll & Bute, Scotland. During this visit, they installed two SquareBug® torque monitoring systems to measure torque transients during wind turbine operation. Capturing mechanical torque transients (especially torque reversals) requires specialised wireless instrumentation, assisted by deploying our SquareBug® technology. Torque reversals can significantly reduce the lifespan of wind turbine transmission systems - especially bearings and, consequently gears - ultimately shortening the overall design life of wind turbines. Profiling wind turbine input torque histogram is mandatory to establish confidence in any type testing.
