The panel will feature senior sector leaders, including Martin Gilmour (Deputy Director for Planning and Transport at DfT), Naomi Green (Managing Director at England’s Economic Heartland), and Nicola Kane (Director at Steer). The Transport Planning Society (TPS) commends the Government for developing the Integrated National Transport Strategy (INTS) to shape our approach to transport planning and delivery in England over the next decade. In response to the INTS consultation, our new Policy Panel has identified five core integrations essential for a successful, integrated transport network: Optimise First: Coordinated network management across all key operators. Government Integration: Coordinating transport policy across departments, particularly on climate, land use & transport, and health. Aligning national, regional and local: Collaboration across all levels of government to drive sustainable outcomes. Accessibility Innovation: Enhancing access to the network for all users. Mission-Driven Investment: Aligning funding and expertise with the strategy’s goals.
