  • Is Persons with Reduced Mobility (PRM) an outdated term? 💡 This International Day of Disabled Persons, Transreport’s Director of Consumer Engagement and Policy, Emma Partlow, spoke to Railway Gazette International about the evolution of Disability language in the rail industry. Emma explores the industry shift towards more inclusive language and processes, reflected in terminology such as “accessible travel” and “barrier-free”.   • Airlines 2024 underscored accessibility as a key driver of aviation growth! 🚀 Elevating consumer experience was at the forefront of discussions at the conference, organised by Airlines UK, BAR UK LTD, International Air Transport Association (IATA), and FlightGlobal.   It was a privilege to connect with Louise Haigh MP, Secretary of State for Transport, who delivered an impactful keynote discussion exploring aviation growth in the context of accessibility and sustainability; and Mohammad Taher who is focused on closing the Global Skills Gap in aviation through technology.    A Fireside Chat with Shai Weiss, Virgin Atlantic CEO, highlighted the importance of customer experience alongside increased passenger targets for airlines; while Ronce Almond and Michael Stark considered how the evolving global aviation landscape is impacting consumer policy development. Selina Chadha from the Civil Aviation Authority explored the demand for consistent accessibility processes that protect passengers and empower the industry.
