At Trillium Flow Technologies, we design pumps to meet the unique demands of virtually any fluid movement application. Whether installed in water treatment plants, corrosive mining environments, or hazardous oil refineries, our pumps deliver reliable and efficient performance. Our team in Fresno, California, designs 𝗩𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝘂𝗿𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗣𝘂𝗺𝗽𝘀 using materials tailored to the most challenging conditions. The pump shown below is a perfect example. The shiny materials are not only pleasing to the eye but were specifically selected to withstand the corrosivity of the phosphates in the water it will be pumping. What stands out are the duplex stainless steel fabrications and castings. It doesn’t stop there—this pump is just as beautiful on the inside. From its shafting to its bolting, every metal component is made from duplex stainless steel. What does this mean for our customers? 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝘂𝗺𝗽 𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁. Trillium is committed to providing the highest quality solutions, no matter the challenge. Partner with us for performance engineered in every pump we deliver. Reliability and safety are non-negotiables in the world of power generation. When it comes to steam turbines, the 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗽 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘃𝗲 is a critical component in ensuring both. What is a 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝗽 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝘃𝗲? A Trip Throttle Valve is a vital component in 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗲 systems, designed to rapidly shut off the steam supply in emergency situations or during abnormal conditions. It helps prevent damage to the turbine, controls excessive pressure, and ensures the system shuts down in a controlled manner to safeguard both equipment and operators. The key benefits are that it prevents equipment damage, boosts operational safety, and reduces downtime. How Does It Work? The turbine's governor system continuously monitors the turbine's speed and other operational parameters. If the system detects anomalies—such as the turbine spinning too fast or pressure readings out of range—the trip throttle valve activates. Steam flow is immediately cut off, stopping the turbine and preventing damage. The system can then stabilize and restore normal operation safely. Why is it Important? ✔️ Prevents Over-speed: Safeguards against uncontrolled speed increases, which could cause catastrophic damage to the turbine. ✔️ Maintains Operational Safety: Automatically activates in case of system anomalies or failures, keeping your plant safe and functional. ✔️ Optimizes Efficiency: Ensures smooth operation by shutting down the turbine when necessary, avoiding costly downtime. ✔️ Protects Equipment: Safeguards expensive turbine components from overheating or mechanical stress. Whether you're working with a power generation facility or an industrial steam turbine, the reliability of your Trip Throttle Valve is essential for system integrity and safety.
