  • Empowering Inclusion: Human-Centered Design for Sustainable Solutions – Uplifting Street Children Streetism remains a critical social issue in Ghana, particularly in peri-urban and urban areas like Accra. Every day, along major highways and city streets, children as young as five are seen hawking goods, wandering, or begging just to survive. Deprived of basic rights such as education, shelter, healthcare, and protection, these children are caught in a cycle of poverty and vulnerability. Ensuring their rights is not just a moral duty it is a legal obligation under both international human rights laws and Ghana’s national policies. Yet, the numbers tell a dire story. According to the 2021 Population and Housing Census, 1,215,546 children between the ages of 4 and 17 were out of school. Data from the Department of Social Welfare further reveals that 61,492 children are growing up on the streets. These alarming statistics highlight the urgency of tackling streetism as a national crisis. In alignment with the 2025 Global Theme for World Day of Social Justice, “Empowering Inclusion: Bridging Gaps for Social Justice,” we explore how human-centred design can create sustainable solutions that restore dignity, provide opportunities, and empower street children for a brighter future. Join the Conversation We invite you to a thought-provoking discussion featuring experienced speakers who will illuminate practical, people-focused solutions to address streetism. At Triple A Foundation, we are committed to empowering street-connected children, teenage parents, and the youth through impactful initiatives such as: ✅ Back-to-School Support Programme – Reintegrating children into education. ✅ Street Exodus Project – Providing holistic pathways to stability and self-sufficiency. How You Can Make a Difference: ✔ Donate – Support education, shelter, and healthcare initiatives. ✔ Volunteer – Offer your skills, time, and mentorship. ✔ Partner with Us – Collaborate to create lasting change. Streetism is more than a child welfare issue—it is a reflection of deep-rooted socio-economic inequalities that demand urgent action. Together, we can be the change. https://lnkd.in/e8BCPGK7 #JusticeForStreetChildren #StreetLifeMatters #EmpoweringInclusion

Street children are more than just those living on the streets; they are underprivileged kids who have been neglected by society—much like how we often walk past them without a second glance. • Periods Shouldn’t Cost an Education – #PadAGirl! Menstrual poverty is robbing girls of their future. Last year, through our Pad A Girl, we helped ensure that no girl had to trade sex for pads or use unsafe, unhygienic materials just to manage her period. The impact? Thousands of school hours saved. Many of the girls we supported would have missed up to 60 days of school per year—that’s two months of learning lost, simply because they lacked menstrual products. This isn’t just about hygiene; it’s about education, safety, and dignity. No girl should have to choose between her health and her future. We broke the cycle where poverty forces girls into risky survival choices just to manage a normal bodily function. This year, we’re going even further! Join us as we work to ensure that no girl falls behind in school just because of her period. Let’s create a future where every girl can learn without limits. 💖 Support the movement. Donate. Partner. Advocate. #PadAGirl #EmpowerHer #PeriodPoverty #KeepGirlsInSchool #MenstrualHealth #DignityForGirls
