What was the highlight of our week you might ask? The National Apprenticeships and Skills Awards takes the cake! As continued partners and supporters of this annual celebration, we were proud to come together to mark 21 years and recognise the talent, hard work and impact of apprentices, employers and skills champions from across the country. Our Melissa Riggs, Jack Cooper, Teddy Petken and Mary Harding represented us on the night, who going by the photos, did us very proud! It was inspiring to see so many stories of growth and success come together in one room, whilst reconnecting with some of our fellow employer ambassadors from the London Apprenticeship Ambassador Network. Swipe through for some of our favourite moments from the evening 📸

CIBSE Build2Perform 2024 proved to be a critical forum for built environment professionals with a dynamic and impactful programme that spanned resilience, climate, compliance, building performance and so much more. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with professionals from all areas of the sector and explore the latest trends shaping the future of facilities management and building services. On Day 2, our James Campbell featured in two thought-provoking sessions at the Maintain2Perform stage. One standout discussion - ‘Is technology replacing the building services maintenance engineer?’ - which sparked lively debate on how we balance technological innovation with human experience and skill. Huge thanks to CIBSE for inviting us to be a part of such a successful event which highlighted the essential role of facilities management in achieving high-performing, sustainable buildings. Curious to see what we got up to? Check out our short video recap below to catch the energy and highlights 🎥

Today marks the final day of our four-day series for International Men’s Day. Over the past few days, we’ve had some powerful conversations about masculinity, mental health, and how we can all do our part to support each other. The sad truth is, nearly 5,000 men die by suicide every year in the UK alone. Yet, many still feel like they can’t talk about it. But it’s time for that to change. Reaching out for help is a sign of strength—not weakness. Watch today’s video for some final thoughts and advice from our Andrew Maynard on how we can support anyone who may feel challenged by their mental health. Thank you for joining us on this series, let’s keep the conversation going and break the silence 💙

The pressure to hide vulnerability doesn’t belong in any work environment. As leaders, how can we make sure that mental health is a priority in the workplace? Day 3 of our mini-series features our Andrew Maynard sharing his approach to mental health, fostering a culture of openness and why it’s so important for everyone to feel supported to discussing mental health at work. Take a moment to watch the video and tell us how you’re supporting mental health at work 👇

The dictionary’s definition on masculinity describes it as, ‘having or denoting qualities and characteristics traditionally associated with or expected of men.’ But should men have to live up to these expectations, or is it time to redefine the meaning of masculinity? Today, our Andrew Maynard reflects on the changing perceptions of what it means to be a man. “After 25 years in the Royal Marines I have gained experience of working in a demanding, predominantly masculine, environment where men are expected to endure the harshest and most testing of conditions. In this world, your safety and survival depends on working and trusting those around you. Unsurprisingly, there is often a reluctance to show any form of weakness for fear of compromising the trust which exists between you and your colleagues and risking team cohesion.” Men’s mental health matters and breaking free from old stereotypes starts with conversations like this. 👉 Join us in rethinking masculinity – watch today’s video and share your thoughts below.

Today is International Men’s Day, a chance to shine a light on positive male role models and bring awareness to the struggles that affect the lives and livelihoods of men and boys across the globe. For us, it’s about building a positive and supportive culture for all to thrive – both in our personal lives and the workplace. In celebration of the contributions men bring to our community, here marks the start of our four-day mini-series with Andrew Maynard, who gives us his view on key topics surrounding mental health, masculinity and leadership. Phrases like "Man up" and "Be tough" are often thrown around, but what do they really mean for men's mental health? We’re here to challenge stereotypes and show our support for men in their journey toward better mental health. Hear from Andrew in today’s video and stay tuned for tomorrow’s thoughts on masculinity.
