About us

Two Generations is a national homeshare scheme that looks to foster friendship between generations, promote independent living for older people. Our Homeshare benefit scheme also helps companies support employees caring for loved ones outside work. Older people seeking companionship are matched with friendly younger homesharers who will provide 10 hours a week of household support eg cooking, gardening, laundry, help with IT. We are a member of Homeshare UK and safety is paramount to us. All homesharers undergo DBS checks, references and interviews prior to any match.

  • It has today been announced that Baroness Casey will launch an independent commission into adult social care. The commission will be split into two phases, with the first phase reporting in mid-2026 and identifying the key issues facing adult social care and setting out recommendations for reforms. The second phase, reporting by 2028, will make longer-term recommendations to address social care for the UK's ageing population. This is a vital opportunity for homeshare to be highlighted as a preventative measure to support older people to remain in the community. https://lnkd.in/eTWASTSd
