We were honoured to be front row during London Fashion Week, watching Silvia Acién’s brand Acien make its runway debut. A huge thank you to the organisers, Volkova Agency and Atelier Three, for having us! This event was part of Fashion Discover London, a platform that connects international brands with British audiences and invites designers to showcase their collections and expand their networks in a new way. We were invited by UAL alumni and talented candidate Silvia to experience her stunning runway collection. It was a fantastic opportunity to support her journey and celebrate the extraordinary talent from UAL. From her roots on a Spanish organic farm to Vogue-featured designs, her journey is nothing short of inspiring. Seeing her collection, crafted from regenerative materials and dyed with nature’s colours, come to life on the catwalk was a moment to remember. Silvia is redefining sustainable fashion, a true celebration of circular fashion and innovation. Hear what they had to say below 👇🏼 A 15-year journey of supporting creative talent. Our journey began over 15 years ago with the creation of an in-house job shop at University of the Arts London (UAL). Five years ago, we recognised the demand had outgrown the service, and we wanted to offer more opportunities for our talented students and graduates, setting up as a limited company enabled us to do this. This initiative, powered by University of the Arts London, became a bridge for students and graduates to showcase their talents and gain hands-on experience in the creative industries. Now in year four of our expanded model, we’ve partnered with over 70 businesses, managed over 10,000 jobs, and supported UAL creatives to grow their networks, develop their careers, and financially sustain themselves.
