Great way to finish off the half term with a brilliant CPD experience - learning how to teach golf in a fun and engaging way to allow complete beginners to develop the key skills needed in the sport. Big thanks to Danny and Jordan Stephenson for providing this opportunity and all the help throughout the day.

💛💙 120 Miles. One Team. Tackling It Together. 💙💛 At UEA Women's Rugby, I am proud to be the Community and Outreach Officer alongside being Co Vice Captain and this month we are doing a fundraiser for the 100 & First Foundation. We have chosen this wonderful charity because the 100 & First Foundation exists to support offenders transition from prison into society by equipping them with the skills to thrive and the mindset to make positive choices. The vehicle for this is sport: their highly skilled team of mentors coach cohorts of offenders in 8-week programmes of skills development in prisons, culminating in an opportunity to showcase their change to family, friends and their community through a competitive contest. One of the programmes that this foundation runs is called Be Rock Solid. This is an 8 week blended course combining real – life experiences and a rugby programme to inspire change, build belief and provide practical application. It uses a rugby programme that reinforces teamwork, purpose and mindset shifts from pro – offending to pro – social. To support this incredible cause, we’ll be walking a total of 120 miles: the distance from the home of rugby, Allianz Stadium (formerly Twickenham), to our own home of rugby at Colney Lane. On Sunday, 16th February, our team will collectively cover this distance at Colney Lane, pushing ourselves physically in solidarity with those striving to rebuild their lives.
